Albertsons

Used to shop there frequently. Stopped because the prices seemed higher than that of their competitors.

I happened to be in the area so I’d thought I would
stop by to pick up a few things. A guy named David who works behind the hot foods department was so rude and sarcastic.
Even before he got to me, I noticed the tonality of his voice n attitudes toward the customers before me, I was so surprised that he got away with talking to customers like that.
Well, I can say that from the look of how runned
down this Albertsons location is, and from the low ratings n comments from unhappy customers, it probably won’t be around for much longer. Especially with Ralphs and other grocery stores around, they can’t survive long term with the bad services and products at their store.
This has got to be the worst Albertson location I have ever been to.
I will never come back to here again.

Worst customer service ever! Checked out and my cashier had such a bad attitude didn’t even say hi and when I asked hi how are you she just looked at me with this blank look I’m like uhmm ok well I guess ur having an awful day but ur in the customer service industry doesn’t give you any right to give ur customers a horrible service. Sheesh! Worst albertsons ever! Never coming to this one ever again, NO THANKS To the young blonde girl! I’m so glad you don’t work at a restaurant you wouldn’t be making any tips with that kind of poor attitude towards your customers dear!

Lately this albertsons has not been up to the standard. Strawberries on sale but every package moldy. Discounts show in weekly ad but not in store?
I think I’ll stick to the albertsons on Alicia instead.

Terrible place. Their prices are at least 20% higher than any other supermarket. Their advertising is confusing and the personnel is not friendly.

What I notice the most about this specific branch is that it’s so dark here, especially in the frozen food section.
Anyway, it looks smaller than the other Albertsons I’ve been to, or maybe that’s just because of the lighting. Their selection is about the same as others inclusive of clearance items, but they also have $ 1 flowers at the front of the store, interestingly enough.
They have self-​checkouts here. They weren’t attended this time but the only problem with that was that it took a while to get Monopoly game pieces, so it’s fine with me.
The exits were full of Girl Scouts selling cookies. They were unavoidable except by sneaking out behind another person.

Warning… The produce Dept here is bad. The cherry tomatoes I bought were full of hairy mold and the large avocados were 30% rotten and brown on the inside. I threw all of it away and went to Stater Bro’s for produce. The rest of the store is ok — but extremely overpriced and very few good sales. This store has really gone downhill lately.
Btw, I filed a formal complaint on their corp web site and did not receive the courtesy of a reply.
Looking forward to the new Mothers Market opening soon.

This store is poorly managed. Following this evening’s experience, I’m sticking to Ralphs, Whole Foods and any other store not affiliated with Albertson’s LLC and/​or Safeway.
I was at self checkout this evening. I only use self checkout and usually refuse to go to stores that don’t have it available. I refuse to be victimized by the ignorant cashiers and baggers that most stores consist of nowadays.
I noticed 3 of the 4 self checkout stations were occupied, so I took the available one. Pulling my cart there, I noticed the screen had a message on it needing assistance. It was obvious that no one was doing their job monitoring the stations and continuously ignoring the issues. There was no customer at that station and nothing in the bagging area. That message had to have been displaying on that screen for a few minutes prior to my arrival, considering I was coming from the isle in clear view of that station and could see that specific station was empty the entire time… approximately 4 minutes.
I alerted the cashier and bagger in the isle next to me. I told them someone needs to clear the screen. It’s obvious the one in charge of self checkout was not staying in their station and instead, helping the cashier a little bit and shooting the shit with people. Again, seems to be the norm nowadays and stores wonder why they’re losing money.
The employee quickly swiped her card and walked away without even verifying it was fixed. I had to tell her to come back and fix it. I could tell she was irritated, but I did not give a shit, considering it was her job and she seemed to think it was more important to hang with the older and rude cashier instead of standing by to monitor and fix any issues that may arise.
After swiping a few items, the typical error appeared on the screen regarding bagging the item. Here we go again and what do you know, the person in charge of this station again, failed to do their job and was not at the station to fix things such as this. I had to turn around and tell her to clear the damn screen again. She again swiped her card without looking at the screen and walked away. It did nothing. I was really pissed and sick of this shit now.
The older and rude cashier she was hanging with made a snarl remark. That was the last straw. I am contacting Albertson’s Corporate Office in Idaho following this unacceptable experience.
I will never shop at an Albertson’s again. This store is way too run down anyway. The attitude and laziness of the cashiers is a reason I refuse to have someone ring-​up my groceries.
There have been a few times I had no choice but to use a cashier when stores would shut-​down the self checkout area. Every single time, regardless of the store, it took way longer using a cashier than it would with self checkout. Not only that, but they could never bag things right!
The few times I had to use a cashier instead of self checkout, the cashier and bagger would not shut up. They were continuously shooting the shit with each other… even across the way with another cashier. As a customer, it is unacceptable. I don’t want to have to listen to them shooting the shit about nothing and in return, taking forever at the register. It’s one of the main reasons I refuse to go to stores that do not have self checkout. I once went into a Pavilions and saw there was no self checkout. I put the basket down and left.
I’ve been using self checkout since I was a kid in the early 90s. There’s a reason I only do self checkout. As stated, I refuse to rely on the ignorant, slow, rude and bad service of the cashiers. They’ve earned this reputation themselves with their bad behavior (such as tonight’s episode) and have no one else to blame for when the time comes that cashiers will no longer exist and all stores are 100% self checkout.

I’ve been to this Albertson’s a few times and have not had good experiences. The customer service at check out is pretty good. The cashiers are friendly; but when I go to the grocery store, my purpose is not to just chit chat. My plan is to buy groceries. There’s another Albertson’s nearby that has amazing customer service and the store is stocked and well organized.
This review is based on my experience yesterday at this Albertson’s. I was very disappointed. I was looking for basil. There was none in the section with all the fresh herbs. There was not even a basil plant or basil in a package. I could not find basil anywhere. I decided to move on because I didn’t really need basil in what I was making for dinner.
I needed to buy green bell peppers. It was «99». Is this per pound or each? That makes a big difference. See photo.
Then I moved on to the kale. It’s was $ 1.429″ and backwards «3». It would have been nice to know how much I’m paying for these products. See photo.
There were a few other items that were similar to these examples, but I don’t remember them on top of my head right now.
I spend a lot of money at this grocery store because I love to cook and it is closest to my home, but I am willing to travel further to get a better experience. This grocery store needs to do a better job organizing their produce and clarify the cost of their products.

Before I moved here to Lake Forest, Albertsons was not the grocery store of my choice. but this particular store is filled with employees that are efficient and always a pleasure to see! the cashier, Debbie, has to be my favorite cashier, by far though!

It’s true, I have bought a lot of expired items at this store lately. Usually the stuff that is in their ad at really good prices.

I was here not to long ago and they have this manger name Nicole. She is very rude to her employees she well raise her voice at them. Especially when the employees are busy with many customers. I find it very unprofessional.
She needs to change her attitude. ASAP!!!

The people who work in produce are very lazy. They never stack the shelves with all the advertised items. I’ve even talked to them about stocking celery, and after doing it while I wait they aske me how many I want, rather than just keep the shelves stocked. And they have promised to keep their shelves stocked. They will do it for a week or two then stop again.
They have an extremely lazy produce department. Go to the local Ralphs or Vons instead. They seem to be able to keep fruits and vegetables out.

I come here often due to location and find the store adequate. The manager is very nice and timely, however one particular cashier is talkative and not always the most pleasant unless you are one of her ‘regulars’. I purposely try to avoid her.

This is my closest grocery store, so I am pretty much there all of the time. The staff here is always friendly and helpful, and mindful of when the lines start to get too long. They have two Redbox machines, so I order online and am in and out in a snap.
My one gripe about Albertson’s is their decision to ape the other chains who give the 30% discounts on wine if you buy a six pack. In reality, they just dumped their usual sale prices, jacked them up substantially, and force you to buy in bulk. Thanks but no. Now their single bottle prices are on par with liquor store prices, and simply not worth it. Special trips to Costco, Total Wine, or Bevmo are a better deal.

This is my neighborhood chain grocery, so I am pretty loyal to the place. It’s a typical grocery store, with a nice check staff. The only issued I’ve had is with the fish, and only once. My wife picked up some salmon filets, and the second I opened the paper I knew there was trouble. The odor was strong, and the fish was slimy. Bad sign. I went right back and they refunded me without incident. I don’t buy any fish here now, as they clearly have a quality control problem.
On a side note, their coin-​star machine is a blatant rip-​off. I counted, to the penny, how much I had in coinage. The machine returned about 84% of what I put in. I complained, and was referred to coinstar. They refunded me, but the machine was not closed.
The produce is pretty, and the red boxes are cheap.

I just grabbed food off their shelves that have been expired for over 3 months. I just hope my pregnant wife doesn’t get seriously ill from their carelessness. Been going here for a while. Will not be returning even if it is only across the street. Get it together Albertsons.

No need to bring the card anymore! Ok, maybe that’s been the case for a while but I only noticed the signs. This is the first non-​Hawaii grocery store where I registered for a shopper card because I always seemed to get something from an Albertson’s when traveling in Las Vegas. Still have an affinity for Albertson’s even though some other chains seem to have better prices overall.

Wow what a bunch of rude employees. So apparently if u don’t fit the demographic or match the color of skin of the checkers they will treat you rudely, huck ur items so hard that peaches break and onions have visible bruises on them about 2 hrs from purchase. Bitch flung my stuff so hard the bagger had to catch an item from falling into the exit aisle. That’s at least a good 3 feet from the back of her cashier area across the bagging area. Sue was the checker.
If you don’t want to have the same experience I did avoid her line.

For the past two decades, I have loved this Albertsons!
With its new remodel, it is absolutely stunning and has a great feeling of a high class grocer. Unfortunately It seems as tho the remodeling cost is being passed on to the patron in the form of pricey produce and meats but there are always Alberston’s club deals on alcohol and other convenience foods.
It is filled to the brim with helpful employees and the self checkout is usually open too in the event that there is too long of a line. There is always ample parking in the lot in front and there is also a Bank of America ATM inside and a Red Box movie rental kiosk so you can easily kill 3 birds with one trip here!
