From the moment we met Mike and his family at a wedding expo, we knew that he was the guy for our us. We had great chemistry right off the bat. We wanted a DJ who would keep the energy going and without any lull in the action. And boy, did Mike and Ryan deliver! They kept the entire crowd engaged and at one point we had an extremely long conga line going around the room. Prior to the wedding, they were extremely easy to deal, very professional, and responsive. I would spread the good word about him to anyone who would listen and use them again in a heartbeat if I can.

Carcano DJ is absolutely the way to go for your next party! We hired Mike and his crew for my son’s Bar Mitzvah and his energy was incredible! We found him on the preferred vendor list at our venue and have loved him and his family from the first day we met them. The selection of music he chose was perfect and he knew the perfect mix of games and dancing to entertain both a 40 year old crowd as well as the teen crowd, which is not easy! His lighting and effects are phenomenal! They are extremely professional and I’ve already told them I want to hire them for my next 2 Bar Mitzvahs! I wouldn’t even consider doing a party without Carcano DJ running the event! The whole family is so much fun!!!

To say Mike Carcano was the best thing that happened to a bar mitzvah that I recently helped plan is an understatement. I just cannot even begin to recommend him enough! In fact I kept commenting on the fact that I think he should be the ONLY DJ this particular venue recommends. I wish there were ten stars to give him! He was beyond a doubt the absolute perfect partner to work with! Not only did he play the perfect music for both the older folks during cocktails but the best music that kids loved and didn’t annoy the older people during dancing! In addition to that, he entertained the kids, played football on the lawn with them, just kept them going all night long! As if that wasn’t enough, he provided uplighting, ceiling effect lighting, truss and backdrops for our theme, just an absolute one stop shop! I hadn’t planned to have the dj do the lighting but he really is MORE than competent and creative! He had us to his shop for a preview and selection process and then went to the venue to do a dry run of the lighting. He was just amazing — people complimented me on him all night! He and his family team just made the party!!! You will NOT be sorry booking him.

We hired Mike and his son for our daughter’s wedding in March, 2016. Throughout the entire planning process and especially on the day of the wedding they were EXCEPTIONAL. They were fun, professional and responsive to all of our guests. I sincerely wish we were related to the Carcano family so we would see them all of the time!!! Stop looking… hire them!

Can’t rave enough about Mike and the entire crew at Caracano DJ! We hired them 4 years ago for my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah & this year again for my son’s Bar Mitzvah that took place this past weekend. They do it ALL and so well! The party was an on-​going blast! Best Horrah dance, MCing, and high energy dancing and games throughout! They designed awesome personalized Gobo lights décor for my kids, provided uplights and even brought all giveaway gadgets for the dance floor! Best attitude and service! We hired Mike to DJ our daughter’s wedding 1÷17÷15.
He also provided the lighting and Chiavari chairs. He gave us a fair price for both, so we added them on to our contract rather than call in another company for the chairs.
Anyway, having Mike as our DJ was the best decision ever. He did a fantastic job, and set the tone for a fun filled and memorable evening from the start of our reception. So many guests commented about our excellent DJ. I am not kidding… people stayed and danced the night away until the reception was over. We loved the playlist he designed for us!
I highly recommend him.

I am so glad I met Mike at one of the bridal event he hosted as DJ. After a brief conversation with him on the spot we could feel his energy and his humor that we were looking for at our wedding so we decided to book him at our first meeting. He has great spirits and personality that could bring up any mellow crowds. Mike is very experienced at what he does and knows how to make sure the party never dies. To say we would recommend Mike Carcano DJ and his team would be an understatement. During the whole wedding planning process the meetings with Mike and his team were the most fun and also the smoothest we encountered. They have a great family type atmosphere and really care about making your day special. They helped make ours the best day of our lives. I would highly recommend the lighting package as well, it totally transformed the dining area and dance floor. We had a pretty hefty playlist and Mike figured out the right time to play each song, the guy knows his music. Additionally they help to schedule the whole timeline for the reception and this really helped us. We couldn’t have asked for more. You simply can’t find anyone better.

Carcano DJ. Mike Carcano himself DJ’d my wedding and let me tell you, IT WAS FABULOUS. HE was fabulous. I was so happy with the turn out of the night. He kept my dance floor jumping and was so wonderful when I was breaking down, crying over the guest count going over. He was sweet, cheerful, funny, and accommodating! He was fine with any last minute changes and even let my sister do a sound check rehearsal to a song she wanted to sing. He is a stand up guy and he and his company deserve nothing but positive reviews. They played just about every song I requested and even my country songs! It was great. If you want a DJ that will deliver as well as this guy, he is definitely worth however much it costs. I also rented uplights and audio/​visual services from him. Two big thumbs up for Mike Carcano! :)

In our opinion, the DJ is a cornerstone of your wedding. A good DJ can make or break your event. For this reason, we spent extensive time researching DJ’s and collecting referrals. I’m here to tell you our decision to engage Mike Carcano was one of the best. He met with us before the wedding, was in constant contact with us for our crazy questions and was extremely thorough and professional in making sure the music was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. He knew so much about weddings that he helped us with music we hadn’t even thought about. And on our big day, everything was well-​timed, organized, and full of energy! We can’t express enough how great Mike is! And we think he had a good time too. We even caught him singing along during our karaōke after party!

My wife and I had our DJ, Lighting, Vidoe Projection and Chairs handled by the great crew at Carcano. From the very beginning they were friendly, respectful and accommodating to our wedding needs.
Bobby was our DJ during the event day and everything went for the most part swimmingly.
Would recommend them to anyone thinking about hiring them for your event.

5÷7÷13 Update — I wrote my original review back in October 2011. In January of 2012, I was harassed by this company because of my review. I was even told that they would use the personal information I provided in my consultation against me if I did not remove my review. He then went on to contact each of the vendors from my wedding (or the vendors he thought I used) to try to bad mouth me and have them contact me to remove the review. I refused to bullied and did not remove the review. Here we are 19 months later and he is still trying to defend himself.
I would like to be clear. Mike is correct, I never contracted with this company. My review was based off contacting him as a possible vendor and the experience I had.
As I said in my original review, I am not a person who writes negative reviews for no reason. Out of all of my reviews, this company is the only company I have given 1 star. My review is fair and honest. Mikes behavior towards me as a possible client was bad enough, but his actions after I wrote my review were appalling and completely unprofessional.

We married in October, 2012 and used Carcano DJ Audio Visual & Lighting for:
1) DJ
2) Lighting (Uplights, Dance Floor & Gobo)
3) Chairs (Chivari)
4) Flooring (White Dance Floor)
As a quick summary, everything came out spectacularly and we couldn’t have been happier! Mike, Jason, Stefani and the entire team really went above and beyond our expectations! For those interested, I have provided the details below.
With about 2 months left to go before our wedding, we were still scrambling to find a DJ (originally I was just going to have my iTunes plugged in and have someone manage that but am I glad my wife talked me out of it!) and luckily stumbled across Mike Carcano and his team through the «Preferred Vendor» list of our venue. We scheduled an appointment right away and they were very accommodating as they were happy to meet with us in their offices after work hours.
We met Mike that evening, and my first impression was that he came off a bit «Sales-​ish» (after all, this is a Sales business) but after spending more time with him, I realize he is genuine and just wants the best for you on your special day. A lot of the recommendations he had for us (Gobo Lighting, White Dance Floor, etc.), I was hesitant on at first, but I’m so glad that I followed his instincts as these little touches really made the night that much more beautiful.
In terms of pricing, we were able to negotiate a price I thought was beyond fair (I think in part is because he owns so much of the equipment already, but I also believe it was because he really wanted us to have the best and was willing to work with our budget to make it happen).
Throughout the process, we exchanged tons of E-​mails. Mike or Stefani were always extremely prompt in replying to our numerous questions and demands. We also met in their office a couple more times and again, they were always willing to accommodate our schedule and offered to meet as many times as we needed to feel comfortable.
On the actual day of, Jason was our DJ and Stefani was running things behind the scenes. Needless to say, everything came off perfectly and we received so many compliments from our guests regarding the ambiance.
Most importantly, Mike and his team were VERY respectful of all our wishes. They played ALL the music we requested and were even very supportive in incorporating some geeky elements we wanted to use to personalize the wedding. Furthermore, we had an extremely tight schedule and they did a fabulous job of staying on top of it as well as being flexible to numerous changes throughout the night. And as a surprise thank you gift to us, they even burnt copies of all the wonderful music from the night so we will always have those as a keepsake!
Overall, I could not recommend Mike and his team enough!!! They were professional but at the same time made you feel so warm and welcomed, it was as if you were all close friends or family. They offered an amazing price for the quality and amount of service they provided. And finally, they are a local family business that sincerely cares about their customers. My only regret is that this is a once in a lifetime event (hopefully!) but I will definitely be looking to use them for any future party I have and I will never stop recommending them to friends and family!
