Lake Forest Academy

LFA was a great school for me. I liked the small class sizes and the non pressured sports and activities. Everybody could be on a team, everybody could be in the plays, and you knew most people there. Excelent education and most grads get into top colleges! I moved overseas for my junior and senior years, so I missed out on the whole experience.

I never thought I’d think so highly of a boarding school. Certainly not one that –I– attended, but I’ve got to say that the two years I spent away from home before college were some of the best years of my life. I won’t say it was easy, but I learned a TON, especially about myself.
This is the kind of nurturing environment that helps me understand why exactly people pay a premium for this kind of education. It wasn’t just the small class size, intimate campus, or even the incredibly talented faculty. The students, structure, environment and rich history empowered us all to take charge of our education in a way I never realized before.
Furthermore, as an alumni, the network is quite strong, and I’m glad to be a part of this fine institution even after I’ve graduated.
