Mr. Root received his law degree from the Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1977. He is licensed to practice before all of the courts of the State of California, the United States Supreme Court, all of the Federal District Courts in Southern California, the Southern District Court of Appeals, and the Court of Military Appeals. He is a member in good standing of the California Bar Association and many other professional associations.

The firm’s area of practice is related to employee rights-​employment and labor law matters, such as sexual harrassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, whistleblowers, etc. Mr. Root only accepts cases which would warrant litigation, if necessary.
