Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church

Great church! I reconnected with a priest who served at a different community where i served in a youth group and felt right at home!

I love attending Mass at Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church. The community is very friendly and I can always find a Mass that fits my schedule. I usually attend the 12:30pm Mass on Sundays. There is usually something going on in the courtyard after Mass as well. The Knights of Columbus sell entertainment books as a fundraiser for their ministries. There are other ministries that sell food to help those who are hungry. One of the Scouts recently planted trees to grow food for people who are hungry. Every year the church has a festival. They also have a outdoor pizza oven spearheaded by Fr. Bill.
Fr. Bill gives great funny and quick homilies. Fr. Dave gives homilies that speak from the heart. Fr. Silva gives wonderful homilies that are easy to understand. The priests at this parish each have a different style so there is always something for everyone. On feast days like Christmas and Easter there are mulitple Masses going on in the Church and hall in different langauges as well.
Besides the standard ministries such as Religous Education, Liturgy, Music and the Knights, Santiago also has a newer ministry called Faith and Film. They show a film in the church and then discuss it. The discussions are thought-​provoking and the questions help people to see how they fit in as Christians while watching films.
I have been coming here for several years now and it is an absolutely beautiful church. The Cross on top of the church is also a cell phone tower enclosed in an aluminum Cross. The cell tower provides reception to many people in the area on three of the largest domestic networks and also provide a novel revenue stream to the church. I recommend coming to Mass here to check Santiago out! :-)
