Great place if you like hair in your food! Wife and I ended a nice relaxing weekend with a sit down breakfast and half way thru her meal she found a hair in her hash browns. When I notified the waitress, who incidentally didn’t get my order correct to begin with, she took the plate back without any apology. She didn’t even take the meal off the bill. We got the bill, paid and left. Do yourself a favor and hit the many other restaurants in the area. Slow service Unprofessional service staff Food was average Dirty silverware

Nice basic menu. A little on the greasy side but everything tasted fresh and flavorful. A good spot for a pleasant breakfast meal.

It’s a greasy spoon but. This is a good choice if that’s what you’re looking for. Just stopped in on a rainy day to kill some time. It’s 70’s style. The soups are homemade and very good. Especially the bacon bean. Also had a great chocolate cake and the carrot cake was great.

It wasn’t very busy when we got there on Memorial Day but the service was terrible. We were helped most of the time by a nice waitress that wasn’t even our waitress because whatever guy we had was sitting at a booth most of the time. It took forever to get our drinks, refills and the check. The food is cheap and alright. Nothing spectacular. The pancakes were very fluffy and good. The omelet was flat and average and the burger was a pre made patty. It’s good in a pinch ans on a budget but meh otherwise. The décor is a nightmare.

Had the olympic omelette. Fantastic, big portion and well seasoned hash browns. Wife had 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and 2 sausage links. Links are the size of small hotdogs and the pancakes are very tasty.

Sadly disappointed. We had expected a much better meal than we received. I ordered half sandwich and salad. My salad had a hair on it. Could have been excusable, I guess it happens. However when my corned beef came out on soggy bread and looking like leather that was enough for me. The waitress was friendly an apologized for our experience and took my meal off the bill.

Just what you were looking for but didn’t expect to find in Lake Geneva — cheap, greasy food, served quickly. Slot machines in the back only contribute to the desperate Las Vegas vibe. Perfect for your hangover.

Walked in on a Sunday morning after a typical girls night out in Lake Geneva, hungover girls that needed breakfast stat. The ambiance, well there is none and you just have to pretend you don’t notice the 1970s chairs and tables. Food and service was spot on. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was delicious to our sick tummies! I do wonder though if it woulda all tasted as good if we weren’t recovering from a tequila flowing night?!

Greasy spoon defined. This is the type of place to get eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon. Hell get them all in a skillet. Nothing special. Definitely nothing fancy. Just good, greasy food. 230⁄365

Great greasy spoon in downtown Lake Geneva. I always order one of their skillets, which are very good. Nothing fancy, but good eggs and hashbrowns! Hot chocolate is delicious. 351⁄365

Someone Call Restaurant Impossible! 43 minutes for grilled cheese and steak and eggs, then the grilled cheese order was wrong, so they come back with microwaved grilled cheese the half th size of the original one they brought out… 10 minutes later! I could not help but listen and watch the attitudes of the waitresses and all the wrong orders people were getting. Lake Geneva is a beautiful place, just terrible that I associate it with this terrible place. I thought i was on a TV show… Horrible

Let me tell you. I’ve eaten in a lot of places in this world of ours but I gotta’ tell you. I was so pleased with this restaurant. I went there on June 7th, 2013 with my hubby. We ordered dinner. I had coconut shrimp(something I had never tasted, also baked potato and coleslaw(delicious, super delicious coleslaw.) Oh my Lord, it was so good and I think that was the best food I have eaten in a very long time. I can’t wait to go back and to top it all off; the waitress(whose name was Carmen) was the sweetest woman. She attended us so warmly. God bless her. I highly recommend this restaurant if ever you’re in Lake Geneva.

Wandered around Lake Geneva today, decided to stop here because we love a good diner. Time was around 1pm on a Saturday. Husband ordered the meat-lovers breakfast skillet. No complaints there, he said he’d definitely have it again. I ordered the special of the day burger, the Hawaiian burger. First, it was obvious the pineapple was out of a can, but they used CHUNK pineapple, not sliced. I kept expecting the pineapple to fall off. Tip: GRILL the pineapple to bring out the flavor. Second, it was obvious that the burger patty was a pre-made frozen patty. Fries were frozen crinkle-cut variety. I could take the fries, but for a $ 9 burger, I expected better. When I mentioned it to the cashier, she insisted it was«fresh» pre-formed patties. I seriously doubt that, based in many years working in the fast food industry.(see photo) Décor — dated, mismatched photos for decorations… could be charming if they gave the place a good cleaning from top to bottom. Seemed worn out. Floor could have used a good scrubbing. Staff — the entire time we were there, the four or five staff in the restaurant were sitting together at a table. I had to flag them down for our check.(see photo of the staff’s coffee klatsch) While the skillet breakfast was decent, its not enough to bring me back. There are other restaurants to check out the next time I visit LG.

Had the veggie omlette skillet for breakfast. It was delicious and so what we needed. Breakfast was also pretty cheap.

Old school diner open 24hrs. Very friendly server. Food was mediocre. I’ve had a lot of grease diner gyros, and figuring I’d get a good one with the Kronos posters around the place… Nope. Got the platter which described a «mound» of gyro, it was just a sandwich with literally a few short scraps of barely warm meat. Skinniest, sorriest gyro ever. The fries were good. The place was empty at 1130pm Sat night. It was a nice chill place to have a quick meal. Just lower your food standards an you’ll be fine.

It’s hard to know for sure, but this could be the worst breakfast experience ever. I’m not just referring to my own experiences, but the totality of all human experiences. Ever. In seriousness, what a mess. Our waiter was«new» but seemingly felt that new-ness was a reason to be an oddball jerk. It took forever to get menus, forever to get coffee, a while to order and then a fortnight to get our food. When the food came, it couldn’t have been more wrong. Each of our skillets had cooked hash browns topped with 100% uncooked vegetables under eggs with cheese that was only melting because the eggs had been plopped on top. I have to assume that isn’t the preferred way to cook a skillet. The toast was cold. Seriously. My skillet had none of the proper ingredients as listed. As we sat there toying with our vile meals, I stood and stared towards the staff. For upwards of a few minutes, I stood. No one came. When someone(not our waiter, but the helpful other server) came, I let her know that we’d only be paying for coffee(and the omelette that was okay). In a twist of understanding how ridiculous this had been, she told us not to pay for anything. ‘Twas the only bright spot in an otherwise ludicrous experience.

My colleague and I stopped in for a fast dinner while at a conference. The look is purely 1960s family restaurant, but the food is really good. I should note that I’m a fan of diners and local food joints, so the décor and atmosphere was no problem. We were served by a nice, attentive waitress, and were given enormous amounts of food. I can recommend the Greek chicken, but the potatoes were dry. Overall, great, filling inexpensive.

Food is diner food, but… yes, it’s WI so they’ve also got BEER. Drink up and have a chill night at the diner. The servers are honest to you about what not to order and they do a decent job. As a diner aficionado, I give it two thumbs up!
