Sad to say, but the owner is just plain old burnt out. We loved this place when he first opened, but now it is not good. We were there over the summer and the A/C doesn’t work right and the sushi was hot. Now he barley keeps enough out and it is stale and when you special order, it is like it is a big inconvenience for him to make it. He is always understaffed with help. It has turned from a great neighborhood sushi place, into a place that is shop worn and dirty and he just is burnt out and needs to sell or hire more people to relieve him. We need good sushi in LO but this guy needs to sell or take some time off. We don’t even feel welcomed there anymore.

the conveyor belt food is ok and plenty as far as portions go for just $ 1.50 a plate. however, if you know what to ask for Jay is willing to make anything. had an unagi roll the other night that was awesome and my wife likes the scallop rolls. the tofu mushroom dish is also amazing. the miso ramen soup is also quite good. plus, Jay just might be the nicest person on the planet.

I do not eat off of the belt at Go Fish Go Sushi. The rolls are loose, and sliced very thin. The fish quality seems to taste below exceptional. They run these plates at $ 1.50 a plate with drink purchase, so that may be why. I do like ordering off of the menu. They have a nice selection of rolls, all ranging from $ 8 – 18 dollars. They have tempura and noodles as well. The menu rolls taste fresh, and I dare say have the optimal quality of fish. On a Unilocal whim, I decided to try the«Monkey Brains», about as far from traditional sushi as you can travel. I tell you though, this dish was fun and decadent. They stuff a avocado with crab salad, tuna, and goodies. They then deep fry it with crispy panko. It is not greasy at all. The avacado is so creamy, but still holds up. Even though this was far from sushi, it was rich and delicious(pictured below). The Scallop Volcano roll that we love to order is creamy and tender, with bits of earthy chewy shitake mushroom mixed into the scallop salad. The sauce is thick, both sweet and savory. I love this interesting roll presented with a little sugar cube that is on fire placed in the center of a cucumber on the plate. I recommend this roll for the scallop and mushroom lover(pictured below). The customer service is very friendly.

Cheap dinner place for family. All plates on the belt are $ 1.50 if you order a drink. You need to have patience, the selection can be limited and they overdo the smoked salmon way too much(I mean they have too many smoked salmon rolls most of the time) and they tend to go overboard with rolls with aioli on them. I wait around for rainbow rolls, salmon nigiri, and the occasional roll with fresh tuna or salmon. Sometimes I have to wait a long time for something I like to come around. My only real complaint about the place is that the server gal has sometimes made us wait over 10 to 15 minutes after being seated to ask us what we want to drink.

There are a lot of types of sushi places and this one fills a niche. That is, if you are hungry, have kids and don’t want to spend a lot then this is worth a stop over. They have a generous«lunch special» most days for many hours wiht $ 1.50 plates off of the conveyor belt. I have had worse sushi for more money however you are not going to be eating a bunch of fish at that price(a lot of Krab, cucumber rolls, egg, pot stickers, etc…).

I was in there with my family and spent $ 50 between the 3 of us– now not saying that this is expensive for Sushi, but we were forced to order off the menu because the belt sushi was so gross, warm, and tasted like rotten fish. We mentioned something to both the waitress and she just said«you can order from the menu.» We will not be going back here. On top of that, the bill came out to the wrong amount.

Pathetic, anemic sushi offering. Waited patiently as large blank spaces where sushi could be placed on the conveyor went by. When something did come by it was measly and mostly rolls of rice. One plate of sashimi came by. Walked out paying for one plate.

Perfect little sushi restaurant, beautiful and flavorful sushi! The atmosphere is clean, simple and staff is courteous and accommodating. The rolls are an artful balance of color and texture, so delicious… Rose on Fire is addicting!

As a neighborhood, family owned restaurant, Go Fish Go Sushi has a very creative menu. If you like Avocado, you must try the Monkey Brains. You can order off the belt, but the best way to order if off the menu. If you are not into sushi, they have a creative array of Udon and noodle dishes. Teens often congregate here for lunch or dinner, as it is a nice neighborhood restaurant

The sushi is definitely delicious. I love the sushi train. This place is really decently priced at any plate for $ 1.50 if you purchase a drink. Get here early though because there’s only so much sushi put out per day so later in the day there isn’t as much. It always seems really clean too which I love. And the girls that work there are all so cute and quick. It’s a good place to go alone or with groups. I definitely recommend going but not really something you drive to the other side of town for.

Good food, not great. Great pricing from 11:30 to 2:30, $ 1.50 per plate with purchase of drink. Plus you can order anything off the menu. I’ll return for lunch but will not go out of my way if I’m not close.

This is a hidden gem in Lake Oswego. I go often and have never been disappointed. I no longer live in Lake O, but will still drive across town for a lunch fix.

MAKESUREYOUWATCHWHATYOUORDER! The food was alright, that is the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars. I ordered off the menu, being that there was next to nothing on the belt. I pointed to the items I’d been looking for to the waitress for $ 5 and another for $ 4. I got them the were good, when I got my check I was charged double what was on the menu. I asked and was told what I pointed to was ‘hand role’ and instead of asking me the price difference brought the more expensive ones. No compromise was made for both our mistakes, did not find it a very good establishment.

Maybe we went on a bad night but there was only one server and the food on the belt was extremely limited. The sake was good though. Too bad because the location is very good and across the street from the Lakewood Theater. Doesn’t compare to the Sushi restaurant on West Linn.

Recently had a bad experience on a Saturday night — out of edamame more importantly out of rice!!! At 7:30? Had some bad tuna — sent it back and was charged for it. Think this place has taken a turn for the worse — too bad — don’t roll the dice here

I was in the area one day about the noon hour with a hankering for sushi. I stopped in and was a little apprehensive that it seemed pretty empty for the noon hour. I sat and ate 2 tuna rolls, one salmon roll, one basic with cucumber Krab, and cup of green tea. The food, was ok, but nothing memorable. Typically? this would cost about $ 8 at a comparable establishment(read:track sushi), but I was quite surprised when I paid at the register to find it was $ 11.25. I found the value; size of rolls, measured against pricing to not be reasonable at all. Seems from the couple people that arrive after me to be a place where regulars go as the chef(owner?) knew their orders, and greeted familiarly. So apparently some think it’s worth going back for. But for me? For the price? I would have expected to leave at least satiated.

Great sushi! The chef is very friendly everytime. I’m a college student on a budget and the $ 1.50 a plate with drink purchase always calls for a dinner out of campus. Recommended for people who want great sushi for fantastic price

Not the worst sushi place ever BUT the chef/owner or whoever has really bad attitude & temper. Which is too bad because the sushi wasn’t bad… I drove by this place 2 twice a day, it’s always EMPTY!!! NOW, I KNOWWHY!!! I took a picture for Unilocal, the chef/owner got angry and said«Delete the photos, you understand right.» Wow, you can’t take a picture in the restaurant in America!!! Seriously, I deleted all photos from my camera(and I’m famous for my local photos –as of today I took 3785 photos for Unilocal) & didn’t check in… On the way out, he kept SCREAMING at us about deleting photos, my boyfriend gave him the ***talking to the hand(without looking back). Very unfortunate because I lead a big food group, every Thursday night, and I was planning help support this local business but NOTHERE! :(
