If you have a dispute with another person, corporation or government agency, then you’ve come to the right place.

I’ve been in the lawsuit and dispute resolution business since 1984, first as an attorney and, since 2012, as a mediator.

I urge you to consider trying to talk things out before filing a lawsuit. Some of the benefits of mediation include:

* You control the outcome, not a judge, jury or arbitrator (or a freak weather event that keeps your key witness from attending trial).

* You can be more creative. Civil judgments award money. In mediation, the parties may include important non-​monetary terms.

* Mediation is strictly confidential; trials are public.

* You can resolve your dispute faster. Some litigation drags on for years.

* Mediation is more economically efficient because the parties spend less money on attorneys, court fees, experts, court reporters, etc.

* There is no judgment to impact creditworthiness of the loser.

History

Established in 1984.

Oregon’s Attorney General appointed me to a one-​year job as «Honors Attorney» in 1984. I continued litigation in private law firms and defended lawsuits until 1992.

From 1992 –2000, I worked with a big-​time firm involved in high-​profile litigation. Then, formed my own firm.

In 2012, I began working as in impartial mediator to help others end their litigation short of trial and avoid litigation in the first place.

Often, people start their day with me burdened by stress and end their day with a ton of bricks lifted from their shoulders.

That’s a good day for me.
