R & M Marine Boat Sales

Great family owned business! Great service. R & M sold me a great used boat for my teenage boys. I traded in my other boat which they serviced for over 3 years. I appreciate R & M for working with me to find what I needed in a boat and then adding accessories and detailing it perfectly.

Never Again. Started using R&M after moving onto the lake for both of our boats and use the wash service required be the Lake Corp every time we take a boat to another lake. On my last clean the mechanics found a «secret ballast switch» and reported me to the Lake Corp without notifying me first. They forgot who their client was and destroyed any good will we had previously established.

These guys rock! I was out at Charbonneau and my boat started overheating. So I called these guys up and they talked me through checking some things which didn’t fix the problem. But they got me right in so I was only off the water for less than 2 hours. I will definitely be back.

Do not take your boat here. We have now taken two boat here and both times they did damage to them. One, a nice outboard that they left a part off and then lost the keys for a month. No apology … They just blamed it on someone else. The second, a brand new boat they botched on the lake wash… Cracked the engine intake filter … then tried to tell us it came from the factor that way… funny thing is… it had wrench marks on it. They only hand tighten at the factory. Also, they scratched the side of the boat and when I questioned him… He said he didn’t do it. Something must have rubbed it. Funny, it wasn’t that way when we brought it to him. Lastly, he somehow disconnect the water intake hose and forgot to reconnect it. He left it to dump into the bilge. Good thing we noticed it or our engine would have overheated. This is not the bad part… It is how Mike communicates. He is rude to everyone but particularly to women. He responses to questions with rude, condescending language and a loud aggressive voice. I listened to a phone call he took for a possible new client who wanted to make a purchase. When he hung up the phone he said, despite two customers at the counter, «stupid idiot… these people are a waste of my time… I am 150 per hour… Talking to people doesn’t pay. » I would not go there… but if you do don’t go by yourself … take someone else with you to experience the behavior … It is so unbelievable you need a second person to be able to debrief with afterwards.

Very knowledgeable, helpful, innovative, reasonable. They do a great job at a reasonable price. Ive gotten an education from Mike, the owner. Dan G.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT HERE! Heck, don’t even step foot into R and M. I made the unfortunate mistake of taking my boat in not once, but twice. The first time they backed into my boat trailer and dented it, and the owner Mikes response was a highly conformational «What you’ve never made a mistake?!». Very unprofessional, unorganized, the employees argue in front of each other, I could even imagine making a large purchase or getting major boat repairs from R and M. The only reason this place is in business is because of the required boat washes to launch in Lake Oswego. Please, find another respectable boat repair shop like Active Water Sports.

Brought my boat in for some repairs that I needed. I thought the repair was going to be much more than what was found. The mechanic helping me out was very through with me. He spent over an hour with me to get to the root of the problem.
Thank you R&M marine. I feel very confident in their ability to give an honest repair.

Will never take our boat here again! Horrible mechanic & service!
