In 1983 Merrill L. Thomas was purchased by Roby Politi, MAI. Over the last 30 years the company has risen to become the #1 producing real estate firm in the Adirondack region. In 1983 there were 5 full time agents and the total sales volume was about $ 1.5 million. In 2006 the company’s sale volume peaked at $ 90 million.

Over the years, Merrill L. Thomas, Inc. has sold some of the most recognized Adirondack camps in the region.

Roby Politi is one of the few natives that you will meet! He has been an active Realtor since 1973 and has been instrumental in the development and expansion of the Lake Placid community.

In early 1983 Roby purchased the Merrill L. Thomas, Inc., business and has been its hands-​on owner and principal broker ever since. The firm has grown from a staff of 5 to its present status of 21. Merrill L. Thomas, Inc., was the first company in the Adirondack region to establish a full-​time vacation rental department. Real estate transactions have grown from $ 1.5 million in 1983 to over $ 90 million in 2007. Merrill L. Thomas, Inc., has been ranked #1 in sales volume by the Adirondack Champlain MLS since 2005.
