Great vets, great staff!
We had a horrible experience with a different vet in the Lake St. Louis area and decided to try Carter.
So glad we did.
They’ve always been knowlegable, friendly and caring.
I recommend them for anyone needing veterinarian services.

New to the area, saw Dr Nagel out of pure luck and happenstance. She was amazing! She got down on the floor with my dog, listened to his long history patiently, and was up front about associated costs. I highly recommend this place!

Dr Bonstead is an excellent vet. Very intelligent and soft spoken. Doesn’t scare my pets at all. She has helped with a lot of tips for at home to for my older pets. Great place and not pricey which is a plus!

Love working with Carter Pet Hospital for all of my fur-​babies needs these days! I trust all of their doctors with the health and well-​being of my 4 pets. They’re honest, explain everything thoroughly, and help make the best suggestions for keeping them happy. Plus, they have some of the best treats in town, or so my animals say!
Extra great part, it’s the first and only clinic I’ve been in that doesn’t smell like one! So clean! Love it! These ladies rock!

I wanted to share our experience with them. We just moved to the area and have two dogs. Both of them are older girls. Our oldest who was 14 and we had her since she was 10 weeks old had a massive seizure and they took us right in and treated us amazing. They had never seen us before. We had to make the hardest decision to let our baby go and you couldn’t ask for a more amazing group to be there for you.
Today in the mail we got a card from them and everyone signed it. We found our vet for our other girl in the hardest way but with the way they treated us and our baby girl was amazing.

Dr. Stan Carter has years of knowledge and is very gentle with his patients. I have followed him from his vet office in O’Fallon, MO when it was All Creatures Animal Hospital to when he sold it to VCA. He went to work for Purina. At that point I was missing a great vet — then he opened his office back up in Lake St. Louis and I knew it was going to be a drive from Manchester to there, but always worth the visit. He also has other doctors with him that are very friendly and good to work with.
