Bellaboo’s Play and Discovery Center

Great place to bring kids.
Our 14month old had a blast and didn’t want to leave.
They had indoor and outdoor activities for kids of all ages.
Nice facilities and plenty of parking. The staff were courteous and thoughtful.
Will make an effort to come back.

Awesome place to take kids! Clean, open, and definitely secure. First place I’ve found ever that is both loads of fun for kids and comfortable for adults.
Multiple activity rooms surround a comfortable commons area with free wifi and plenty of seating. A snack bar with a hot menu is a big plus, but I didn’t try it on my visit.
If you are in Northwest Indiana, have a youngster, and are looking for an activity be sure to put this place on your short list.

Very clean and infant and toddler friendly! My one year old was constantly entertained and tons of room to walk around and explore. Especially for the cheap price of admission, it was so worth a weekly visit from now on!

We are going to head to Bellaboos.
We’ve decided to make the trek over to lake station a couple times. Every time we are glad that we did.
The place is well organized. Each space has a «theme». There is a water play room, block room, train room, art studio, reading room, toddler room, a big play structure with a ball pit, and an entire «pretend» village with some of the best and realistic props I’ve ever seen! It’s seriously like a kids dream come true.
My 7 year old absolutely LOVES the pretend village where she can be a vet, work at a pizza parlor, run a house, or work and shop at a grocery store.
My one year old doesn’t know WHAT to do with herself– in a good way :)
It only costed 26 bucks for my family of four to go today. We left exhausted but, it was well worth the cash.
Cons: large one topping pizza is 15 bucks… food at the stand is over priced in my opinion.

I always have a great time here. The food is a little pricey and it would be nice to be able to bring your own food. Still a great place to bring my daughter and niece to let loose.

I was lost and the manager stayed on the phone with me, to help me find my way there. Really great customer service. Bellaboos is great!

I took my grandchildren here to spend a couple of hours (at their request). It is a CLEAN & comfortable place for them to play & they love it. They added an outdoor «trike track» for them to ride. They enjoyed «cooking», face painting & the ball pit. And the food is not only reasonably priced, it’s also pretty good!

You won’t find more fun than this for younger kids. Went there today with my 8 year old and three year old. They both had a good time. My 8 year old says it’s better than Chuck E Cheese because there are so many things to do. There are things that of course only a toddler would be entertained by, but plenty that kids 11 and under would have fun for hours doing. The cooking classes are cute for toddlers through five years old max. There is face painting, climbing, train room, reading room, a toddler sized grocery store and pizzeria… dinosaur digging outside the list goes on and on!

My kids love it here. They’re ages two and three and are in the perfect age range. Any kids over 8 years would probably be bored. The food is decent but I’ve never ordered a pizza here that hasn’t come burnt and black on the outside of the crust. This last time I came I was told the jungle gym would be closing early due to maintenance and cleaning. But here’s my beef. That’s my kids favorite room. So: either discount the cost of the child’s ticket for that day, since one of the main rooms will be closed, or clean it after hours. But that’s just me.

We went here for a birthday party. My twin boys were 3 and my daughter was 5 at the time. DO NOT get a birthday party there if your kids are younger than 5. Even my 5 year old daughter was having a terrible time because every time she got interested and was having fun in a room they said «Oh its time to go to the next room» 15 minutes in each room is not enough time to enjoy anything especially when they want you to clean up before you move on to the next room. I guess they are used to kids with really short attention spans because every time it was time to switch rooms my kids would have a melt down. For the cost of a birthday party you’d think they’d allow you to do whatever you wanted. The pizza was nasty way worse than Chuck E. Cheese, just when you think it can’t get any worse than Chuck E. Cheese and the girl «running» our party must have been new because she had no idea what she was doing. It’s a nice idea but they really need to restructure the way they do birthday parties and improve the Pizza chef Ramsey needs to get in there for a Kitchen nightmare show.

A very polished indoor activity center for kids 2 – 6, and reasonably priced.
Kids have climbing, arts & crafts, and face painting. There are pretend rooms such as grocery, home and pizza parlor. The most popular areas include the train room and water room. The latter is a trough filled with water and tons of duckies, waterfalls, boats, etc. to play with. Kids stay (relatively) dry wearing gear provided. There is an outdoor area, but the awesome inside is the draw.
‘Boos has a café for a decent sammich, salad or slice of pizza. Nice balanced menu for roughly $ 7 per head.
The place is very clean and well-​managed. Safety is paramount, noticeably at the beginning as u and your child receive coded wristbands that are verified upon exit. The facility is very modern-​looking and the bathrooms are a hit with moms, dads and kids: clean and tiny-​sized.
$ 20 for me & 2 kids entry + $ 20 for lunch is so worth it. Kids have a blast and I can just chill, read, write Unilocal reviews, etc.
ps: they have a birthday package. Looks adequate but pricy.

Best infant play we have found! We live in Homewood, IL but didn’t mind the drive for this great interactive experience. First let me say THANK YOU for the reduced admission for adults. I never understood why they charge adults the same amount as kids at the children’s museums. This place is not only cheaper, but more fun as well. Even the food is cheap if you are planning on staying for lunch or dinner. My 1.5 year old son enjoyed the marketplace, train room, soft play and even was able to participate in the kid’s cooking class. I can’t wait to go back when we have more time to spend here.

The best place for toddlers in Northwest Indiana. I love that everything here is clean, quiet, and educational. There is no television, electronic toys, or branding. My two year old and I can spend all day here.
We love the water room, art room, and the playzone the best. Their food is okay and a little pricey for what you get. It is mostly healthy aside fro, the pizza. Outside food is not allowed which can increase the cost substantially.

We all love this place! Kids can stay for hours and never get bored! The story time is great and the children really enjoy the cooking class!!! The foof at te café was good and very conveinent for kids that only want to stop for 2 min to eat!!! We are regulars!

I love this place. I came here a couple times just for open play with my 3 and 1 year old sons, the 1 year old was a little small for most of it, but my 3 year old loved everything, especially the water room.
We liked it so much that we decided to have our 3 year old’s fourth birthday party there and it was fantastic! Our guide was so great at getting all the kids excited about all the different rooms and even cleaning up after themselves! It was amazing. I also loved that they allowed all party guests to stay after the food/​cake/​ice cream to play as long as they wanted. The climbing gym/​ball pit was a favorite of the kids, so cool to see the sanitizing system for the balls too!
It was also nice enough to go check out the outdoor play area with the huge sand pit and «fossils» that the kids could dig up using the tools there. It’s fenced in so no worries about the kids running off into the parking lot. Their security is really good too, when you are entering they give everyone in your group a wristband and check that all the wristbands match when you are leaving to make sure the kids are with the right adults.
I can’t recommend this place enough to anyone with small children!

This was my first time at Bellaboo’s with my toddler. Bellaboo’s is a very clean establishment. My daughter had a great time playing in all the different rooms. The only thing I would have to mention that is below satisfactory would be their Café’. You are not allowed to bring outside drink and beverages into Bellaboo’s. The line for the Café’ was pretty long and sedentary. It was a Tuesday so perhaps that is why they only had a cashier and one cook available. Once I got to the cashier, I then realized why the line was long, she was just really slow in taking orders. I ordered a «hot dogger meal» for my toddler and a iced coffee for myself. The kids hot dogger meal came with a hotdog, petite sized animal cookies, and apple juice. The hot dog was rubbery, and the bun was hard as a rock, hardly worth the $ 3.99 it cost. The iced coffee was pretty bad as well, it was small for $ 2.29 and taste watered down. I recommend eating a decent meal before bringing the kids here, even a Happy Meal at McDonald’s would beat the quality of their kids meal. Besides the Café’ I was overall happy with Bellaboo and the variety of activities available for children of all ages. I especially liked the lockers they had available for 50 cents, that helped out with storing our coats, scarves, etc.

One of the best kids play stations that I’ve seen. A large facility where kids can read, play games, run around in the soft play gym, listen at the story time station, face paint, participate in art, and even take cooking classes all in one place. There is a center area with booths for parents to sit and relax while the kids have fun. Their café offers your wholesome options like veggie wraps, fruit cups, salads, and soups plus pizza and other kid friendly foods.
My favorite is the cooking area where kids get a chance to cook with other kids in a really family friendly environment. Everyone gets their own apron and get to make really fun foods like the veggie family tree while we were there. Cooking classes are part of the admission and offered at various times throughout the day.
Admission is reasonable at $ 6 per child ($ 5 for adults) so well worth it. Just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago makes this a really nice get away for moms looking to try something new for their kids.

Been going since they opened and love it. The play areas are great, the food is solid and the staff is helpful. We had our daughters 4^th birthday party there and everyone had a blast!

I’ve taken my son many times… usually when he has extra energy and the weather is bad.
This place is so interactive and educational. They have different rooms for the children to play in. My son’s favorite rooms are the water play, trains and the soft play.
Bellaboo’s is reasonably priced all around (admission and their café). And they are very clean.

This is a great place for kids! They have different rooms to explore and learn, my niece loved the fake
pizzeria, do it yourself face painting and the grocery store.
The kids get to be chefs in the kitchen and learn to cook. There are all sorts of activities for them.
It’s definitely worth checking out.
