North Lake Nails & Spa

A coworker and I met here and had pedicures on a Saturday a couple months ago. I really can’t say anything good about this place. When we walked in I was overwhelmed by the tchotchkes, dirty wrinkled carpet, and a Bar?! Is that even legal? Nice idea but horrible set up.
Anyhow, onto the service that I received. A basic pedicure. First of all the water was COLD. And to top that off they had these weird crinkly liners for the pedicure bath that resemble the plastic packaging that would come inside a box with a child’s toy. They were busy, and it was a Saturday so it is understandable. I had no problems with the wait time. But for all of the other reasons above I give them one star and would not at all recommend this place to anyone. I chose to go there based on the Unilocal ratings which in this case were not at all accurate.
I have since visited another local Lake Stevens nail salon which I reviewed today and gave them five stars.

UPDATE: so i went back to this place with almost every single nail lifting and they simply put some super glue on it. ya i dont think so my fill was days old not weeks i will not be returning nor have I. I have started going to J’leigh Lathrop Nails and am very pleased. no more ring of fire!
sooooo i will be updating my review but so far. Eh. I liked the great reviews BUT i’m having some concerns. I got a new set put on and within the 1^st week they were lifting at the corners .I went back in and the manager just glued them… hmmm went back again and the «ring of fire» is so bad you can see it CLEARLY through the acrylic. (this is when they tilt the grinder into your to nail and, as it is thinner, can see clearly the ring of fire «pink/​red circle» at the bottom of the nail and not good for your nails AT ALL) (UPDATE I DID POST A PICTURE) I’m not sure it’s worth the convenience to go back… As i like quality. Sadly my old nail place lady moved to another salon up north but looks like i’ll have to go back up there

I went here because my regular nail lady was out of town … I get shellac and they started peeling about two days after I got them filled! I went back and they had no problem fixing them at no charge. She stated she had used a new light and that was the reason for the peeling. I got them fixed on a Thursday … On Saturday they started peeling again! Ugh. I ALWAYS get shellac and my regular nail lady can make my nails last 3 – 4 weeks … After getting them done here they didn’t even last a week. I’m a working mom and don’t have the time to go back and forth to have a service done right. Which is why I probably won’t be returning to this salon.

My favorite new nail place! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. The environment is relaxing. The massage chairs are amazing. I love that there are so many colors to choose from. I also love that they offer wine. And also a major plus with their stamp card. I always look forward to my next visit. :)

Walked in for a Pedi, every one was super friendly. My nail tech name is Thu she was great didn’t cut my toes too short like other place! Will come back for a manicure soon!!!

Came here after reading the reviews and it is great! Relaxing and they don’t rush you out. It was really great! Can’t wait to get a pedicure here I’ve heard it’s great. Oh & they have a punch card for discounts the more you go.

Cleanest salon in the area. I have tried many other salons in Lake Stevens, they aren’t clean, caught nail fungus once, so I highly recommend this salon. They also do a very good job and pride themselves in their work.

Great service, great quality and relaxing ambiance!
Ambiance: instrumental/​nature music creates a peaceful mood and made my manicure soothing and really felt like a getaway from those stressful work days. It’s quiet unlike other nail salons with the tv blasted. But they do have a tv with subtitles that you can read off if you’re bored.
If you spend more than $ 25, you get a complimentary alcoholic drink! Definitely feels like a «treat myself out» kind of day!
Anna did my manicure and it was nicely done! She did it really fast because of my limited time frame but even then it came out great. I appreciate that she was able to work under time pressure with the same quality. We had small talks and I appreciate that she was asking how my day was and plans for the holidays, her English was good, but you have to be a little patient.
I do hope that they’ll post their prices near the front instead of going in blind sighted.
This place is still under rated, so it definitely needs to be advertised more because the quality and service is better than your usual nail salons. Great place to getaway from those long days to destress and to treat yourself. You won’t leave disappointed!

Lived here 14 years, have tried EVERY salon and this is the best. Super clean, friendly, fast and my shellac rarely chips. I don’t know what that other reviewer is talking about with regards to being on the phone? They NEVER have their phones out and are ALWAYS pleasant and engaging. Relaxing atmosphere without tv! I love TV but they play relaxing music. Almost didn’t want to write this because I want to keep it my little secret!

2÷9÷2016− I was in January for a fill with Holly bc I heard they had a new owner and staff and decided to give them another try bc frankly I dont like drving into Mill Creek to get my nails done but they DO do a fabulous job! Holly did my fill and a repair. 50 minutes later, I had to leave to go to work. I got an acrylic fill and a repair, but there wasnt time to have them painted. Well, time gets away from me and I never got my nails painted. I dont have the kind of time to sit there for another 30 minutes when I already sat there for 50 for my fill. Fast forward two weeks, yes TWO whole weeks, 7 of 10 nails are lifting and look like SH**. Lifting every where. So I emailed Michelle the owner and it says on their FB page, responses in a few hours. Well my message as read, but I’m still waiting for a response… The gas and time it takes me to drive into Mill Creek to my reliable favorite salon outweighs the aggravation of having horrible looking nails by going here. WILL NEVER RETURN!!!
6÷6÷2015− I’ve been here a few times since they opened. The guy did my nails a couple times before he went to another salon. Michelle did my nails once and she was great! I’ve had another woman do my nails twice now and she spends more time talking to the other employees or on her phone while working on me. The last time I had a young girl do my nails… 2 repairs and a fill. One nail repaired nail popped off in a week, my nails are thick, and they’re lifting so bad after 3 weeks I need to get a new full set at my regular nail shop. I don’t think I’ll go back there again. I’ve given them 5 – 6 chances and each time I’ve been unhappy with their customer service and my nails.

No reviews before mine so I took a leap of faith and hoped they’d be ok. I was pleasantly surprised. Friendly customer service and the gal that did my shellac manicure took extra care to be detailed. The $ 30 manicure included removing my old shellac, cuticle trimming, shoulder massage, hand massage and hot towel.
There were no prices posted so I’m not sure if that’s a normal price or not.
