Business Owner

Marcus Tageant grew up in Lake Stevens and graduated from the Lake Stevens School District. After graduation Marcus Tageant joined the United States Marines where he fought in the Persian Gulf War. After serving in the Marines he attended college at Washington State University. Marcus relocated back to Lake Stevens and married Becky Daily where they live, work, and volunteer in the community.

Marcus is very involved with the local communities. He belongs and volunteers in many community groups such as the Lake Stevens Kiwanis, The Greater Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce, and the American Legion. He feels that it is important to give back to the community in which he lives and works.

While Marcus Tageant enjoys touting his volunteer endeavors, I have personally had business dealings with his companies, and I would like everyone to know he is completely dishonest and unethical. In researching Marcus and his companies, it has been reported that he conducts fraudulent business practices, verbally abuses tenants and employees, mismanages other’s funds and does not adhere to the law. Marcus Tageant should not be trusted to be the mayor of Lake Stevens. He is extremely duplicitous and many individuals are duped by his companies; Impact Property Management, Key Maintenance and Task Properties.

I have had 2 business dealings with Mr. Tageant. Both of those incidents were disturbing and unnerving. In my opinion, Mr Tageant lacks business ethics, He was highly abusive with one of the clients I worked with. We went to Task Properties to resolve contractual issues. Mr Tageant, along with his employee, Stephanie, were disingenuous at best. The contractual obligations of Task Properties were ignored and my client was dismissed. My client did not have necessary funds to fight Mr. Tageant and his company. He was forced from the property and lost his business. My client also lost personal and business items in this transaction.
