Beginning with just a few Gyro wraps Chris’ Taverna quickly became a South Florida landmark for «The Best Gyro in Town».

Food out of this world. Went for my daughters birthday! Service was great and always checking if we need something else… we will be back! Oh the pork chunks were so good. I was surprised… My son in law ordered and when I took a taste of that I was so impressed. I had Mamas special which was great and the gyros others ordered which was great and the Greek fries are to die for along with the calamari the kids ate. Oh the Greek wine is good. We ordered a bottle!

Pita platter was delicious. Hummus not my favorite though — I liked the eggplant dip. Feta fries were tasty albeit a bit soggy. Gyro platter was everything I hoped it would be — flavorful, fresh and filling. My partner’s Mousakka was some of the best he’s had.
This will be a regular on our dining out rotation!

My relatives highly recommended this place so we came here straight from the airport for dinner. We got the sausage appetizer and it was good, they brought a bunch of pita and tziziki with it. I had the Greek salad as one of my sides and that was great, it came with one stuffed grape leaf. I got the chicken plate with hald gyro meat as my main meal. It came with more pita and another side, which I got the Greek french fries. They were delicious! They came out hot which really made them exceptional. The service was terrific, very fast and friendly. I cannot wait to go back!

Very good food. Hummus is great here! Took a while to get a table, and when we finally did, we were sitting next to another couple. Would love it if they delivered, but they dont so I recommend take out.

I have to recommend the grill octopus or grill octopus salad… Superb!
Greek salad and stuffed grape leaves are light and fresh.

Chris’s Taverna provides fantastic quality and service for Greek food. The restaurant parking is a little difficult because it is located in a plaza with a TJ Maxx and a few other restaurants. However, if you’re willing to drive around a bit and look for parking this place is well worth the wait. Chris’s seems to be a haven for senior citizens but don’t let that deter you the food quality is actually quite good.
My biggest problem with the restaurant if they just can’t seem to get the punctuation correct in their name. Definitely check it out if you’re looking for a decent greek meal. Their hummus and skordalia are «meh» but the greek salad and gyros are great.

We tried this place for the first time via take-​out.. Unfortunately our entire order was wrong so I was very disappointed being that I’ve heard a million great things about the food. Luckily the owner was kind enough to complete our order and we gave them another try! Thank God we did! Everything we ordered was quality! The hummus was fantastiv, the chicken was great quality and we really just enjoyed it all! I can’t wait to go back

Truly an authentic Greek Restaurant which has many of my favorite Greek dish menu selections. My favorite is the Octopus Salad. It is always tender and well prepared. They are located in a strip mall with indoor and outdoor seating.

I never expect restaurants in strip malls to be very good, but this one rocks! The owner himself walks around checking on every table, and at least 5 different people must’ve asked us during our lunch if there was anything else we needed.
During a busy lunchtime crowd (good sign!), the service was still so fast. We sat outside, so I didn’t see much of the inside, but from glances through the doors/​Windows, it doesn’t look like the most elegant establishment inside. Good thing the food is good enough not to care!
The tomatoes on every single dish are the most vibrant and bright red juicy tomatoes I’ve ever seen. The Greek salad with chicken (which came with a soft drink and deliciously warm seasoned pita bread) was huge, and amazing. Will be back for sure!

I tried this location with a friend at lunch hour yesterday after having tried their location on Congress in Boynton and being impressed. The place was packed owing to it’s popularity and we had to wait a few minutes to be seated.
I got a gyro wrap with fries and my friend ordered a gyro salad. Like their other location the portions are generous and the food is delicious to match. Really enjoyed my gyro.
I knocked off a star though because after receiving my check and trying to pay with my Amex, the waitress rather than politely informing me that they don’t accept Amex, instead touched my arm and pointed to the small print at the bottom of the receipt without saying anything. I happily paid with my visa but this wasn’t the right way to communicate that.

We have been coming here for many years now. This is the best Greek restaurant in SE Florida. It is much better than the Taverna Opas in my opinion, although a different atmosphere. But just talking about food and value, hands down the best. If you want the party feel Opa is different in that respect.
My favorites here are the calamari, the lamb chops, the Greek and the Horiatiki Salads. Their house Chardonnay goes well with all the above. May be a red is better for the chops.
Prices are mid range and a good value. Service is super fast and always friendly. I am diggin’ this place a lot!
