We offer discount lamination services to all, adding special discounts on lamination for in store purchases.

We never mark up prices, everything priced Market Value and lower. Not including year round sales programs and monthly sales events.

Our customer service is where we strive. My Mother and I work daily to build inventory and meet customers current and future needs. We appreciate all the support and understanding during these years of difficult growth. Thank you Lakeland and your surrounding areas.

History

Established in 2003.

The Teaching Store began as Teaching Advice, Inc., a small family owned business primarily centered around a website and ebay sales. In 2003 Teaching Advice, Inc was founded by Sharon Taylor and sons.

Over the next few years Sharon and her sons worked hard on beginning to build a business with no capital and little experience as a small business owner. Events such as selling educational supplies from the home garage and yard sales, were the first steps in moving towards our first store.

The first store was started by Sharon on Walt Williams Road in late ’07. With the help of her sons it grew and in Sept. ’08 The Teaching Store moved to MarketPlace North on Daughtery Road. Though we began during the recession, we had some extremely fun but trying years. We built our inventory and customer base and with support of family, in October of 2011, The Teaching Store moved to its new location. We are truly blessed in this new location, and continuing to grow. Thank you all!

Business Owner

Matt Taylor and Sharon Taylor are a Mother/​Son team who own The Teaching Store. While both are more than willing and able to help you, Matt Taylor is the primary contact and daily store manager on most accounts.

The Taylor family moved from Chicago to Florida in 1980 to have a better life. First moving Vero Beach for 3 years, then to Palm Beach Gardens for the next decade or so. Mike and Matt, the sons of Sharon and Ray Taylor, did most of their schooling in the Palm Beach County District.

In 2002 the family moved to Tampa, shortly thereafter relocating to Lakeland, where it was the vision of Sharon Taylor to begin the business we know today as The Teaching Store. From a Garage to 500 sq. feet, to 1000 sq. feet, to 2000 sq. feet, we are determined to grow and become better!
