Sanducci’s Cottage is a family owned and operated restaurant in North Downtown Lakeport. We opened June 15, 2010. We are a breakfast and lunch restaurant with a menu that offers homemade dishes, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, homemade soup every day, breakfast and also have frozen treats like milkshakes and ice cream for after your meal. We spent over a year bringing this restaurant up to par for our opening. Everything is brand new in the building. Thank you to every one who has came in and given us a shot!

History

Established in 2010.

This business has been around forever! Its formerly known as The Cottage Coffee Shop but when Sanducci’s came in, our original plan was to keep the name, but later found out the name was sold to the last owner when he purchased the business from the owner before him. The current owners, are part of the Elsa family. The owner/​cook is the former owners Jim and Nancy Elsa’s nephew. He started working at age 12 for Jim and Nancy when they owned it as The Cottage Coffee Shop. He started out as a dishwasher than through out the years he moved his way up to cooking for them. When Jim and Nancy sold the business, he decided not to stay when the new owner took over.

Here is the details behind the name «Sanducci’s». The current owners uncle, Mike Elsa had been trying to get him to write a cook book for years and call it Sanducci’s. We name this great establishment Sanducci’s in his memory after he lost his battle with cancer.
