This place is not closed! I have no idea why someone would put that and potentially harm a wonderful local business! This place is amazing! The chef is wonderful and the staff is very friendly! Highly recommended!

THISPLACEISNOTCLOSED!!! We ate there again last night. Great fresh food and a good quality of food. We love the place. I just which they had more chicken dishes on the menu. The last few times we have been there they run out of certain dished 30 to 45 minutes after opening. We will keep going back because the food is that good.

Great addition to the restaurants in Lakeport… Come visit Waterwheel! My mom and I made reservations for Thanksgiving. I had driven up from San Francisco so we missed the big rush. David the owner was absolutely delightful — he went out of his way to make our Thanksgiving wonderful. The food was delicious, great modern environment and yummy desert. I can’t wait to come back and try the salmon(my favorite!) Thank you again David and the Waterwheel crew for making our night out fun & delish!

Started the evening excited that a new place opened up close to home. That ended quickly… service was decent but my husband’s frozen hamburger patty was over cooked and dry. Nothing special at all. I ordered the carbonara pasta, it came in a bland wine sauce instead of the rich creamy sauce I was expecting. I was so disappointed that we will not bother coming back. The one star is only for the brown haired young lady who was our server, the food was a total zero.

Thomas Keller’s epic climb to the pinnacle of world class cuisine involved the perfection of his version of Hollandaise. Chef Mayme Dyslan of the Water Wheel Eatery in Lakeport is already there with her picture perfect and very tasty rendition of Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise at their Sunday Brunch. Last Sunday I had the Eggs Benedict, and my wife tried her Eggs Michael. Both orders included eggs cooked to absolute perfection, alongside perfectly golden home-fried potatoes that were both tender and very tasty. I wish I could have tried more of the incredible menu. Both the wife and I can’t wait to get back and try their dinner menu. My congratulations to Chef Mayme for an incredible meal, and wonderful menu!

Disappointed in the food. Just 2 of us dining. The lighting on the blackboard menu was lacking. We both ordered the same, most expensive, steak which was fatty and had a lot of uneatable sinew. The mixed vegetables including undercooked brussel sprouts were OK. The caesar dressing lacked the addition of anchovies, they were on the side. The dessert was excellent, but then how can you go wrong with chocolate torte! The service was excellent. Could be we just ordered the wrong thing or since there menu changes weeily maybe just there the wrong week? They say they are a steak/seafood restaurant, as such I expected the King of steaks, filet mignon, to be offered.

Glad to see this spot opened back up. It’s been the site of a few eateries over the years and this time it looks like they got some things right… and not so right. The menu options were what you’d expect from a steakhouse –small but varied. As with any steakhouse your gonna drop 20 $ a person on average. Highlights; French pressed coffee, great lighting, and a clean feel. Things to improve upon; watch for casings in pasta dish Soup or a salad with entrée is industry standard, shouldn’t be extra It kinda blows the whole French press coffee when served with milk instead of cream White rice with a ribeye, needs to be addressed. In case your wondering I will be back God willing

Fantastic service. We were originally seated outside, but it got cold, and the staff moved us inside right away. The staff is really nice and attentive too. The food is amazing. They change their menu every week, so they have new dishes to try. They had just run out of what I wanted, but they offered to customize my meal, and it turned out fantastic. The desserts are top notch. I had the Carrot Cake Cheesecake, which I was wary about, but it turned out to be absolutely delicious! I love the atmosphere too. It’s cozy and romantically lit. The chef came out to talk to us, and she really appreciated our feedback. All together a great experience.
