We don’t use our heater often but it is a Rheem that was installed new in Jan 2014. With our elderly Mom visiting, we decided to give it a try… but it was blowing nothing but cold air. A couple complicating factors…#1 we needed to find a contractor that had experience with the Rheem unit, #2 we couldn’t wait weeks.
The 1st 3 businesses (random ones from Unilocal) we called either did not have any experience with the Rheem unit, did not have any availability for weeks out, or were not willing to work with the manufacturer to get reimbursement for parts under manufacturer warranty. So, I went to the Rheem website and they had a search engine to find recommended contractors.
I called the 1st couple and they did not have any availability to even take a look until after Xmas. Fire & Ice was able to get us in within a few days. Bill arrived just before 12pm (arrival window was between 12−2pm). The tech, Bill, diagnosed the problem in under 15min and gave us a quote for the labor to install the damaged part. His entire visit was less than 45min. They did not have the part and needed to order it. Within 5min after Bill left the main office called me to let me know when the part would be in and scheduled the installation.
Additionally…the prices were EXTREMELY REASONABLE. Better than reasonable, pretty darn cheap in fact. I realize that it depends on what is wrong with your unit… but were are extremely happy customers.

The installers at Fire and Ice are great! Know their business and no short cuts in installing furnace and air conditioner. HOWEVER, I was billed for a permit and HERS inspection and I when I had the air conditioner recently installed, I noticed this in small print. I deducted both from the bill I paid on the air conditioner (said I would pay when I got the permit) and wrote a letter to the owner asking for a refund for the furnace, since the permit and HERS inspection on the furnace never took place ($ 400). Never heard a word from the owner! I am sure they are charging everyone for these two items and then never getting the permits or arranging the HERS inspection. Fraudulent behavior at best!

I’m so glad I didn’t let this company fix my a/​c problem, they were charging me an arm and a leg for supposedly a simple repair, but according to their tech, he needed to replace a freon line which was a total b/​s. and how did I find out it’s a simple repair because I called another company and they were able to fix my a/​c for less than half of the cost the Fire and Ice was trying to charge me. So glad I called another honest company

Fire and Ice literally saved my life. After 2 companies misdiagnosed my A/​C, I was at my wits end. Justin and Gilbert explained the problem thoroughly. We discussed what needed to be done THEY FIXED IT. They worked diligently and were very professional. They are the # 1 A/​C business in San Diego. FIRE AND ICE HEATING AND AIR. Their prices are so reasonable!

Fire and Ice… I did and had a great experience… The Repair person GREGORY
was very nice and really knew his business…5 min to check the system, out to
his truck and showed me the new part we needed. I approved the service costs
that were very reasonable… A/​C works like new… Thanks GREGORY.

Service was prompt. Tech was knowledgeable. Performed warranty repair for $ 891 plus $ 92 for initial assessment. Tech explained they «always» charge $ 891 under these conditions. «Says so right here in my book». Tech had no idea how the $ 891 was calculated. Be careful-​says so in my book.

am very pleased with service from Fire and Ice. When I called around to get some assistance with my heater I was met with unpleasant secretaries until I called here. They answered the phone in the friendliest manner. To boot, one other place was supposed to come out to assess the problem, and they forgot all about the appointment. I am glad I found Fire and Ice. They are prompt and professional. They need to be your go to company for heating and air people!!! Thanks, Fire and Ice.

We live in a house that was built in 1929… so we are always fixing the damn thing. So last winter, Paul was in the shower and I turned on our floor heater to warm up the house. After about 10 minutes it was as if the flue was not open in our fireplace, because the house started filling with smoke. Then I realized… WE DON“T HAVE A FIREPLACE!!! The under side of our house was smoking. After I stopped screaming we called Fire & Ice to install a forced air gas heater in our house. We could not have been happier. They were very reasonably priced, started the next day, cleaned as they worked and were out of the house in a very short period of time. Max was the estimator and Chris & Tony were the technicians. They even offer a discount if you pay by check instead of credit card.
