though the giant pizzas are big and order /pickup time was almost on the mark, this pizza lacked flavor and the crust tasted like cardboard. Costco pizza tastes better and a better value for your money.

One star for dishonesty!!! I called to inquire about the specials and the guy on the phone acted like I was asking him to cut me a deal! No sir, I want to know what deals you offer! But that’s besides the point. When I asked how many people a «giant» pizza would feed he told me 8 – 10. So I ordered two because I expected closer to 20 people. Well the dude must have thought I was asking how many morbidly obese t-Rex’s I was looking to feed. I could have fed close to fifty people with what I got, which sucked because it cost me $ 60! Nice upsale! Liars suck, asshole!

Really like this place. It’s fast and delicious! I think it’s the best pizza in Lakeside. Each store is owned by different people, I think there’s one in Santee that’s really good too. I like the giant pizza the best. Great when you reheat it the next day

Best pizza in lakeside hands down! Very high quality pizza, costumer service is great! They say it takes about 45 minutes to an hour for delivery but every time I order for delivery it takes less then 30 mins! The delivery guy with the big hair is very kind and respectful. If you haven’t tried this pizza you are missing out! Love you guys :)

The pizza is pretty good, but the delivery guy is a dick and he parked his car on our front lawn!!! Who even does that?! So inconsiderate!

Super delicious pizza here! I have been a papa johns devoted and loyal costumer until this place was mentioned to me for my son’s birthday party and needed a giant pizza. Well… These guys have it! Everyone loved the pizza, it was so good we ordered another one for dinner after the party. I haven’t even ordered papa johns anymore after finding this place… Love it! Absolutely would totally recommend it!

Not really sure why people«love» this place. The pizza is just pizza nothing special. I prefer Costco pizza any day. It wasn’t even the pizza thought why I’m writing a bad review, it’s the service, I ordered a small pizza I think they said it was like 11.99 $ I got it delivered, I gave the dude a 4 $ tip so add that up, that’s 16 $ I looked on my bank account today and they charged me 20 $? Uh… Seriously for 1 small pizza… I don’t think so. So even if you like this pizza and order for delivery beware they will try and scan you.

I always get pizza from here! Usually get 2 large 2-toping pizzas for under $ 20. Seems like a good deal to me! Ask about specials they have some good ones. This place is great!

The pizza was delivered pretty quickly for a smaller restaurant. That was a plus, but nothing else was really up to par. I always have high hopes for smaller pizza places and this didn’t wow like a family owned place usually does. It tasted like any average pizza and was quite small for a 20 dollar pizza.

Their pizza is really tasty. Tasty enough that it can be dangerous… makes you want the third or fourth slice even though you(probably) don’t need it! You can tell they are pretty much scratch made — definitely not frozen(ala Pizza Hut) and the sauce is unique. It is a bit more on the thin and zesty side which is good if you’re looking for something a little less heavy on the stomach(yeah I know it’s pizza). They know how to use herbs. They have a special that they are always running, one large pizza two toppings — I just get extra cheese and pepperoni and it’s about 7.99 + tax out the door. Pizza is always ready when they say it’ll be and it’s always hot and fresh. The ONLY reason it is not 5 stars is that they are starting to slyly snag you for more money. Now Credit/Debit cards are charged an extra $ 0.50 per transaction. They attribute«rising credit fees», but c’mon the Fed hasn’t raised interest rates in years! I think it is just a quick way they can make an extra profit, which sucks, because if they charged maybe $ 0.35 more per pizza, and no fee, I would gladly pay it! The product definitely warrants it. But I just don’t like feeling like I’m being taken on the sneaky sneaks. Make sure to pay cash, but other than that, I definitely recommend. Oh yeah sometimes the younger teenager-ish dude answers the phone. Clearly has no experience or phone etiquette, but it’s just ordering pizza so it’s not a huge deal.

We used their on-line app and everything turned out perfect. The family isn’t feeling so well tonight so we needed a quick delivery service. Everything was delivered within 35 minutes and they even threw in free mozzarella sticks. Good food, fast service, good prices… happy to have ordered.

I trusted other Unilocalers about this place and boy, am I glad I did. I ordered the New York Feast thru the PayPal app and although I was early picking it up the guy put everything together quickly and was very nice about it. No problems or questions about the PayPal aspect which I was worried about. I had a Hawaiian style pizza. The crust was perfect and a little sweet, the sauce was astounding and, as other Unilocalers mentioned, it is made fresh with chunks of sweet tomatoes but still savory. I swear it tasted like sun-dried tomatoes only plump and juicy, sweet tomato goodness. Mmm. The Ravioli was bomb. The sauce again was super fresh and chunky. The salad is amazing with red onions, black olives, cucumber, green pepper, whole and sliced banana peppers, and white feta? cheese. As someone else mentioned the homemade Ranch dressing is delicious. The garlic bread was great for sauce dipping. Don’t forget dessert the cheesecake is light and delicious. I wish I knew how cute this place is I would have eaten in the shop. Located in a strip right next to a smoke shop(wink wink) right off the 67. If a great fresh tomato sauce is important to you and fresh flavorful pizza, pasta, and salad is what turns you on do yourself a favor and check this place out. Thanks Unilocalers for the previous reviews and pics.

Ordered pizza here for the first time in years. Ordered over the phone for«pick up». Professional and efficient over the phone, pizza was ready when I arrived in the time quoted. The sauce makes their pizza great, definitely better than some take out in the area. Price is competitive. I Recommend!

Not the best pizza in town but it’s plenty tasty and convenient too. Calzones are super good(my favorite) and the pizza decent size, plenty of crust. And the best part is the very reasonable prices. Lots of pizza for a reasonable price, you really can’t go wrong

I grew up in Upstate New York, and am frequently disappointed by many of the«New York Style» pizza places in this part of the country. One bite and I wonder whether the pizza cook could even find New York on a map, much less try to imitate one of that region’s gustatory delights. Not so with the New York Giant Pizza on Winter Gardens Blvd. in Lakeside. This team can bake a pie. A brand new customer, I ordered on line through the Eat24 delivery service and was very pleased with ease of ordering through the site — you can even pay with PayPal. Delivery arrived before the estimated delivery window. The driver followed the instructions I left in the notes section of the order and came to the back door. He was neat and courteous. The pizza arrived hot and crispy. It is a well-balanced bite of deliciousness. From the ground up: I only gave four stars because I prefer a bit more of a fresh-baked yeastiness to a crust with a slightly lighter texture. The crust was a little bland for my taste, but that didn’t detract from the overall whole. But, it was perfectly done — slightly chewy yet able to support the toppings that rest on it. The sauce was wonderfully balanced. It was neither acid nor bitter. It had a freshness to it that seemed as if the tomatoes had been picked just yesterday. There were tiny tomato bits throughout, which added to the perception of being fresh, as well as offering a nice texture and flavor burst. The seasoning blend was pleasantly discernible without being overpowering. The cheese blend was sublime. Many cheese toppings are salty and greasy, but the NYGP’s blend has a flavorful, buttery creaminess to it that is a perfect compliment to the sauce underneath. It melted nicely when I reheated a couple of slices for lunch the next day, using a covered, dry frying pan on medium heat for about eight minutes. Toppings were very fresh and well distributed. I had mushroom, black olive, onion, and pepperoni. I hesitated to order more veggies because so many places leave them half raw or they are incredibly soggy. I will take the plunge and order more veggies on the next one. The red onion had texture and flavor, and the slender slivers yielded nicely to the bite. Black olives weren’t too salty and were sliced perfectly. The mushrooms also were sliced perfectly — enough to be cooked but not shriveled. I asked for the pepperoni to be baked on top. I like the crispiness. They did just as I had asked. In addition, the flavor of the meat was substantial enough that it could be sliced thin, giving a delightful flavor profile to the bite without being overbearing. Overall, this is a very balanced and flavorful pizza. Service is great, especially being one of the few places in Lakeside that delivers. I will order again.

You know how there is PIZZA! And then there is meh pizza, well this was just… Pizza. The pizza here was good, and for $ 7.99, I had them hypothetically make me a 14″ mushroom and pepperoni pizza, but in reality I received a pepperoni and sausage pizza.( ) Luckily I checked the box before I left the premises. They did offer to make me a new one, but in reality, I just wanted to get home to watch the Chargers loose to the S.F. 49ers, so they offered me a free soda, and I took it. This review will be based Solly on the pizza’s over quality, not the mishap, since they did give me a free sodi-pop. The 14″ two topping pizza was a good deal, and it came with a good amount of toppings. I liked the way the pepperoni and sausage were allowed to crisp up a bit.( ) The cheese amount was average and so was its flavor. The crust was on the thinner side with a little more girth towards the ends.( ) The crust quality was okay. The right texture was not there however, it missed on the chewiness and yeasty flavor of a good crust. Their special are good, and if you are on a budget looking for a good descent pizza, this place will satisfy that need.
