Really cool place to bring the kids!

This place was ok. It is a FARM. Not a pumpkin patch. They tried really hard though. If i didn’t expect a pumpkin patch, i wouldn’t have been disappointed. It’s a dairy farm though. The tractor ride took you thru the barn where they housed the dairy cows and their calves. Not something i wanted to see or smell. I prefer Bates.

Very cute! It’s really hot there and I wish that they charged by ride instead of per person. I think it would create more order on the rides and would allocate the cost to the kids participating in the activities, like other Pumpkin Patch’s do, and not grandparents or aunts and uncles that just want to see the kids have a great time.
Having said that, this is a great alternative to the long drive to Bate’s Nut Farm and it has many many more activities.

The kids will have a blast. The «pumpkin patch» is not a patch and the pumpkins are small. Lots to wander around and see, watch the kids play. Would be nice if the toddler toys weren’t so beat up and broken.

Visited today and oh was I bummed!!! The place is cute and all but it’s definitely not a pumpkin patch. There were very few pumpkins and they were laid out on hay stacks — I actually didn’t get one and ended up going to Walmart and found better ones. The place itself is cute and not far at all, I’d go back to spend a day or have a picnic. We don’t have children so we were there to find a pumpkin for ourselves and it kinda feels as if you’re not welcome unless you have a bunch of kids with you. I enjoyed being there and petting the animals but this is definitely not a pumpkin patch!

My 4-​year-​old son and I had a great afternoon at Oma’s farm! He enjoyed all the activities: cotton seed slide, petting zoo, hay ride, digger toys in sandbox, playground, etc! The family who owns and operates the farm were very friendly. The hay ride was educative and we had a chance to see 2 babies (cow & bull) that were born in the morning! We will go back!!!

We just went this afternoon and enjoyed it. I have been every year for several years with my kids. Fun to be on a farm and see the cows and their babies. The kids love the cotton seed slide and petting the goats. My only complaint is the price. Parents used to be free with a paying child and I wish that was still the case since parents don’t do anything other than supervise their kids. Great fun for young kids especially. My girls love it every year.

What a great farm! You have to pay to get in, $ 10 for kids up to 13yrs old, $ 5 for adults. Kids under 1 are free. Kids get a free bottle of water and a free pumpkin with entrance fee. There is SO MUCH for kids to do here! A petting zoo, tons of play areas with playgrounds and ride on toys, a hay ride that takes you around the farm and to where the cows are, a cotton seed mountain the kids can sled down, a hay maze, and little farm themed games all over the place :) we had a great time and easily could have spent the entire day here if the weather was cooler. I liked that it was much more of a farm experience for kids and that everything was free once we got in. I wish there was an actual pumpkin patch rather than just a tent with pumpkins placed around it, since it is labeled as a pumpkin patch it wasn’t quite what we were expecting. Otherwise though it was great! We loved being there!

Best in San Diego this is a super fun place for families especially for kids!!! So much to do for entire day!

We had a great day. Something for everyone. It’s a little dusty and a lot of the toys are what you would find in your own backyard if you have one, but fun. Our kiddo had a blast. The people who work the farm were super sweet and seemed genuinely happy for us to be there and to make us happy. Dairy tour was cool. Saw a 2 day old calf.

Since this is our first year back to SD with our 4 and 2 year old, we wanted to find a good old fashioned pumpkin patch. We were not interested in jumpy houses or an inflatable house with pumpkin scattered over a concrete parking lot. We wanted something that would be fun, family focused, interactive, and very unique. We found it here! This place has tons to do for the family. Where do I begin? Snack bar is actually really good. Lots of snack bar options at a reasonable price. The kids loved petting the goats, sledding down the cotton seed mountain, playing in the several sand boxes, playing darts, swinging on the play structures, and last but not least the hay ride.
Although this place is a bit of a drive, it is well worth it. Entrance for kids is $ 10 and adult’s are $ 5. Kids get water bottle and pumpkin with entrance. Since it’s family owned I believe most workers are family and all were very friendly. It’s warm out there so make sure to bring water, sunscreen, and hats. A lot of areas are shaded but not all. Have fun, we’re definitely coming back next year!

A farm with pumpkins, christmas trees, tons of kids toys and playground equipment. My 2-​year-​old was ecstatic for several hours. They have enough of everything at each station so that kids don’t have to compete with one another. Granted, some of the toys and equipment are pretty old and falling apart, but this IS a farm. And it IS the cheapest «amusement park» you can find.
I see a lot of variation on prices from people. We paid $ 4 for our 2-​year-​old, and my wife and I were free. Maybe the prices change throughout the season.
A hayride was also thrown in, though we did wait for some time to get going on that. I can’t think of much else to complain about besides that.
It’s obvious that the owners have a lot of love for children. If your kids enjoy playing outside, I can easily recommend this place for a morning or afternoon romp. Our daughter was so tired out by the time we got home, she actually passed out for her naptime better than she has in weeks. Everybody wins!

Went with my siblings to find pumpkins to carve. We are all adults and based on the reviews we thought it would be ok. The place is cute, $ 4 for adults but it is not a place you go unless you have kids to bring. There was a small selection of large pumpkins. Large pumpkins were $ 8 so $ 12 was a bit much just for a pumpkin. We went to Vonns instead.
I wouldn’t recommend it as a place to just get a pumpkin or for adults only. Great place for kids.

I’m not sure what’s up with the bad reviews but this place was great! The line is long to get in so beware but once you’re in we forgot about how long the line was because our son had so much fun. The free pumpkins (with admission) were good quality. They weren’t lumpy dying pumpkins they were decent. There’s a lot for kids and adults to do. The hay bounce area is neat, hay maze, a little petting area to pet goats with a hand wash station afterwards, and a cotton hill plus a bunch of other things all included in the admission costs. It’s a great deal. This is definitely our spot for holiday fun, and the owners of this farm clearly don’t try to rip off the families looking for fun which you don’t see much of!

The fact that so many people are complaining about the smell at Oma’s is so mind boggling to me. It’s a working dairy farm people! They are ANIMALS. They SMELL. Get over it. We went to Oma’s this year for the first time and had a great time. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it because the line to get in was super long, but it moved quickly and we were inside the gates in no time. I love that you can do so much for one flat rate. $ 8 per kid (adults are free with one paid child) gets you inside with full access to all of the activities as well as a free pumpkin. My kids had a blast! We will be back next year.

I love this pumpkin patch! It’s way better than those stupid mall parking lot ones and much cheaper! Even though I’m adult I had a great time and I loved that the hayride was included in admission which was only
4 dollars. The food they sell is cheaper and the gift shop is adorable. I’m definitely going back!

my family absoluty loves this farm! We went on the hey ride that takes you through the barn where the cows live and they let my sin name the new born bull! This place is super family friendly. The bee issue is no longer an issue as they have some how taken care of it and now they sell honey! cotton seed mountain is a must and the snack shack has great food with nothing over $ 3! I cant say enough about this place. We have been going for 3 yrs.

We have visited the pumpkin patch last year (2013) and this year (2014) and we love it. They charge $ 8 per child 1yr+ and $ 1 per adult, is a steal! Is a farm, and like any other farm there’s animals and all the smells that come with it. I like the secluded open-​field concept where is located at, versus the want-​to-​be pumpkin patch at the parking lots of malls.
There’s activities for kids of all ages and I liked the hay ride. Staff is informative, polite and friendly.
Yes, the place could be a little cleaner in certain areas but all and all is a farm for crying out loud, what do people expect?! It can’t be that clean.
I would definitely recommend this place to everyone and we will be coming back again next year.

Yes, it’s in Lakeside and we drove from San Marcos, but it’s absolutely worth the drive. I’m over Bates Nut Farm– crowded, overpriced, just not fun anymore.

I heard about Oma’s years ago and finally went yesterday. Holy cow. It’s really great. The weather wasn’t really the best (hey, they have no control over that so we didn’t stay as long as we would’ve) but we had a great time.

With your kids’ admission, they get a tractor ride through the cows and pumpkin patch, a small bottle of water, and they can pick their own small pumpkin at the end of your trip.

We were there for about 2 hours before the rain and wind really picked up. There have picnic tables and a snack bar. If it was warmer, we would’ve stayed.
My kiddo had a BLAST. Way better than Bates. This is our new Fall tradition!
