Abe’s surprised me with its size.(That’s what she said.) Lol! Anyways, now I’m done being immature let me tell you what else got my attention; service. Yes. Awesome service. Very attentive and genuinely nice folks. I shared a gyro and an order of their calamari. I’ll get the former again since it was tasty but will skip the latter. Simply because it didn’t meet it’s description of lightly battered dish and it was bland. I will be back to try their other dishes.

Great food, friendly service, good value. I have been to Abe’s a few times and am a big fan. The food is delicious and portions are quite generous. I’ve only had the chicken kabob plate, but it is fantastic. It comes with soup or salad, basmati rice or Greek potatoes, hummus, and pita. Whether you choose the lemon chicken orzo soup or the Greek salad you can’t go wrong. I generally prefer rice to potatoes, but having tried the Greek potatoes I have to admit they are pretty delicious. Abe’s décor is bright and welcoming and the restaurant is always clean. The one caveat is to avoid Abe’s if you are in a rush. While the servers are always attentive and friendly, the food takes a while to come after ordering. However, if you are patient, Abe’s is definitely worth the wait.

We love eating at Abe’s! The location is great, always plenty of parking. A beautiful south-facing patio. There’s a full bar, and always plenty of seating at a table or booth. The restaurant and restrooms are always sparking clean. The service is friendly. The food is AMAZING! There are lunch specials, and lots of variety. Several vegetarian options. And of course all of the choices you’d expect from a Greek/Mediterranean restaurant; gyros, spanakopita, and home made baklava that is to die for! And now they have a happy hour!

I always order the Spartan Plate — Spanakopita, hummus, falafel, dolmas, roasted potatoes, and a greek side salad. Everything on that plate is delicious! Nice atmosphere and great service.

Falafel pita was fantastic. Perfect amount of deep fried crispness to the falafel. Tzatziki was not overwhelming, but a nice compliment. And the pita bread was moist with some subtle buttery notes. P. S. Sami did a shot of whiskey with me before I had the sandwich. Mankind has not had a more magnanimous server.

Nice atmosphere, friendly service, kid friendly, clean, decent prices, and overall tasty food. The lamb burger was a little on the rare side for my taste but still tasty. The gyro was better than average. We got a dessert that was custard with phyllo dough, it wasn’t anything special. We would go again especially considering how close it is.

Great gyro, not so great Reuben. The bottled Bud was old and stanky. Atmosphere was strange and not really to inviting. The owner is Greek and does traditional Greek well and if you stick with that you’ll be fine.

I am sad and sorry to report but after trying Abe’s again to give it a second chance it still is FAR from average. The Chicken plate is sub sub sub par, dry and thoughtless. The giro plate is disappointing and just taste awful. The worst giro I’ve ever tasted. I am very sorry and wish I had better news to report about my back yard local eatery.

Has falafel lunch platter with Greek salad. Salad and dressing was excellent. Lots of veggies and just the right proportions of ingredients. Several different kinds of lettuce, not just romaine or iceberg. Falafel balls were heavily fried and a bit too heavy for my taste. Good fresh pita Generous lunch platter for $ 7.

Very attractive interior with beautiful photos of Greece on the walls. The owner is very friendly and talkative, he remembered seeing me at his old place in Littleton — maybe 20 years ago? My gyros sandwich with potato salad was quite good, my falafel appetizer too dry, the tzatziki sauce excellent. I asked for some hot sauce and he brought out a bottle of Tabasco that had turned brown with age — unappetizing, so I didn’t use it. The price will probably keep me from stopping in again — $ 17.50 + tip for the above and an iced tea.

Went for lunch today and was craving Greek Food. Found this place on Unilocal and the reviews made it sound amazing. Arrived and the décor was nice. Unfortunately I ended up being quite disappointed. The service took forever to help me out even though there was only one other table there. I ordered the traditional Gyro and let me just say I have never received that little meat in a Gyro ever; and that includes those mall Greek places that are overpriced and give you smaller potions. Traditional gyros are supposed to be stuff with protein. Sadly will not return to this restaurant

After eating at Abes a few times and enjoying the food and service each time, we asked them if they would cater a party we were having at our house. They prepared large trays of delicious grilled chicken, tasty hummus, falafel, taziki sauce, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, fresh pita bread, and baklava. The food was ready on time for us to pick up, and they threw in extra portions of many of the items. The food was excellent and our guests loved it! Even though some of the guests had dietary restrictions/preferences, there was something for everyone to eat and enjoy. We will definitely get Abes food for another party in the future.

My friends and I stopped by this place on the way home from a hike, and it was just what we needed! We all got a Greek salad and gyros, and I have to say it’s the best I’ve had! Everything was so fresh. You could tell it was all homemade and authentic. The falafel was delicious and so was everything on it. The best part was the service we had. The woman who served us was so friendly and gracious. She made us feel very welcome and had great recommendations. I would go again in a heartbeat!

Went for the first time today. Lakewood doesn’t have enough family owned places that are worth attending. I usually spend more time at restaurants in Littleton, downtown Arvada, and Denver Highlands to get quality food and service. Took a chance because I love Greek food. Baba ganoush was fantastic. Pita bread was fresh, warm and soft. Ordered a chicken kabob plate with Greek potatoes and Greek salad. Perfectly grilled with a side of hummus and pita. Also, ordered a beef/lamb gyro. Taziki sauce so good. Crispy vegetables. Everyone enjoyed every bite. Best yet they are available for take out. Friendly, fast service. I will definitely return

Very friendly service and the lunch dish I had was excellent and priced right for the portion. Hoping they add a happy hour soon for the 6 to 8 range and my friends and I will be back for dinner!

Warm and inviting décor, fast and friendly service, and delicious food – what could be better? The prices were a little steep, but well worth it when considering the overall dining experience. I especially enjoyed the humble and hospitable service. Our waiter even brought us an extra side of hummus(on the house!) since the entrees that we selected didn’t come with any. I found the falafel to be a little dry and the gyros less than desirable, but the salad was fresh and flavorful and the baba ghanoush was nice and smoky. We’ll have to save up for another visit!

This family run local Greek place reminds me of New York. The Greek salad is wonderfully prepared, with lots of fresh feta. Grape leaves are awesome. Even their rice is great. Definitely enough vegetarian options.

Great sandwiches! Yeah, all of ‘em. Family-owned and managed. The Greek fare is the banner, but everything is good — even the bar selection. Never crowded(yet), with friendly service and real good food all around!
