Meet the Business Owner

Samuel W.

Business Owner

After 15 years in the California wine industry, proprietor, Samuel Whitmore has brought his love and knowledge of wine to Lakewood NY. Prior to moving to New York State, Samuel worked in several aspects of the wine business, from wine production to sales and management. This has allowed Samuel to develop a deep understanding and appreciation of wine, wine grape growing and how the wine-​making process impacts the final product.

In addition to consulting for several small startup wineries, Samuel worked with several well-​known wineries, including B.R. Cohn Winery, Franciscan Estates, Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery, Arrowood Vineyards & Winery, Parducci and Paul Dolan Vineyards. Over the years he has cultivated a keen palate and seeks to apply this to his continual hunt for the best wines and values that are available.
