Clover Park Barber Shop

I lived in Lakewood for 20 years now and I’ve always been by this shopping area (strip mall of stores by CP high school) but, I’ve never been there. I wanted to try another haircut place out that isn’t corporate (i.e. Tight cuts, great clips, etc.) and I saw reviews that this place was good. I called for prices, she didn’t identify the phone call as, «Clover Park Barbar shop» she just answered the phone as, «hello.» But, that’s nothing to worry about. I went in and she sat me down immediately to give me a haircut. She asked what I wanted and I got it done within 15 minutes, (Men’s haircut) and was satisfied with it afterwards. I definitely will be going back soon for another haircut.

I walked into this barber shop for emergency help. My car seemed to have a dead battery and AAA gave me a TWO HOUR window for service (!). Surrounding shops had shut for the night, but if possible I wanted to find somebody that might help me sooner than a 2 hr wait. The client in the barber’s chair said after he was done he was willing to use my jumper cables to give me a jump. He and Mimi both came out to help me. I believe he was Mimi’s husband in fact. In the end, nothing we tried worked but they were a very amicable couple helping me all they possibly could. Soon thereafter AAA came ahead of schedule, whew. Just FYI, it was a loose battery terminal!
I will definitely have my husband go to Mimi b/​c of other reviews I have read. He spends $ 10 on haircuts from another very nice Korean lady who never does what we ask. He’s gone to her faithfully for two years and it’s always the same. Just to know Mimi will do what we ask sounds to me like she’ll be a hit.

I was looking for a barber shop to get cleaned up for a night out. I was in the area and a few of the barbers around were all booked. I unfortunately don’t have my own barber that i go to regularly. So I turned to Unilocal.This place got some good reviews. Thank you Unilocalers!
I was surprised of the location literally across from CP HS. Walked in and there was this sweet korean lady.

So I waited as she finished up with a customer that appeared to be a regular. But maybe she just knows him because he did not have cash but she said just get me later??? Well I’m up and not knowing what she can do i told her what i wanted and off she went. Very quick and great eye for detail. I was very pleased with my hair and she only charges $ 15!!! well I gave her a $ 20 tip well worth it!

A little expensive for a quick trim at $ 15 dollars, but I walked out with a good haircut and a smile on my face which is not always the case at other barber shops. You know what I am talking about when you get your haircut and the barber spins you around and you try to smile but just want to get out of the chair and run. My haircut here was not that at all. She actually took her time and cut my hair the way I asked her. So if you are trying to find a barber that cares about the outcome of your hair, you should add this to your list of places to try and see if this is the barber for you.

The skinny: excellent cut, bring cash.
I was in town visiting, looking for a great cut. I came across this place on Unilocal,drawn by the great (albeit few) reviews. I’m very happy with my haircut! Expertly blended sides and back, texturized top, all executed efficiently but well done. My barber worked in a way that was fast, but by no means rushing (like how I would feel at some chain chop shop); a real pro. She was very friendly and provided good conversation. The cut was $ 15, cash only. I will gladly come back when in town again!

This barber shop is great. I was iffy to go here at first but that’s because I’m really iffy about any new barber shops.
My hair turned out great despite the barber working on a new client. It was exactly how I pictured it would be when I was telling her how I wanted it. I will return again.

Mimi is the best barber in Lakewood. She is always there ready to cut.
