Discount Tire Store – Lakewood, CO

I found that no tire stores carried a specific style of tire I needed for my car. I called and spoke with Josh who helped me find an alternative brand. I walked in to speak with him on a busy Saturday he was able to help me find the best deal and to my surprise also get me in and out in 45 minutes! Thanks Josh!

This place is the best. They replaced all my tires a year and a half ago and today I got a flat. That was covered under the warranty and since it couldn’t be repaired, they had to put a new one on it. They didn’t have it so they are ordering it for free and are literally giving me the new tire for free, all because I got my tires from them originally. The people there were super nice and we’re still working on my car after the store hours posted on the door. A+++++!!!

We have a dealer account here for tires and they are great! Fast, friendly and knowledgable. Every customer I have sent here has come out happy with a great deal to top it off. They can get pretty busy at times but overall the service is very fast. I use this location for my personal car too and have never had any sorts of issues with them. They are careful with your vehicle and make sure everything is returned like it was accepted. They usually have specials so just ask them.

Great customer service! Everyone at this location was genuinely nice and very helpful from my initial call to placing a special order and going in to have the tires put on. Would recommend this location to anyone! I was impressed that I was able to get in and out within 45 minutes on a Saturday morning.

I always get my tires replaced at this location even thought I’ve one closer to home, but had a bad experience for the first time. Took them 4 weeks to get my tire in. Waited 10 mins to check in with a rep. and they didn’t even take my car back for an hour! This was a scheduled appointment, NOT even a walk-​in! Ridiculous! 2 hours later, still waiting on my vehicle!

I’ve been a Discount Tire customer for years & have had very good experience at every store I’ve been to. This location is no different & DJ treated me extremely well. I was a tire buster many years ago & know a little more than the average person & recommend Discount Tire with absolutely no reservations.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I went to Tilden and Les Schwab who both told me I would have to buy a new tire ($ 300+). Discount Tire was able to patch my tire (and we’re not sure why I was told it could not be patched) and everyone was extremely friendly and professional (especially DJ and Evan who I worked with directly). They are super busy so I had to wait longer than I would have liked, but well worth it. I will definitely be back for all my tire needs going forward.

I went early on a Friday morning before the first big snowfall, and there was no parking in the small lot and there were lines to the door. I drove away. I made the purchase and appointment online. I showed up the day before to drop off the car wheels for the snow tires, since they would only fit in my truck. He told me since the tires were in and I had an appointment he could take me right then and there and I would be ahead of the walk ins. I did wait longer than expected, but they got the job done with a dozen people there waiting for their cars at closing.
Update — I returned to swap out my snow tires and the service was excellent.

I’ve been going to this Discount Tire Co. store for years and am generally happy with their service. Friendly staff, esp. Shawn M. in the front lobby. I like that he remembers me and is quick with a smile. Over the recent year, though, I am noticing that items are not completed, such as resetting the tire pressure TPMS sensors after swapping out snow/​summer tires/​wheels and not rebalancing the wheels when I request it. For the former issue, I have to go back to the store to get them to reset it with their handheld computer — this is annoying since it should have been right the first time. This happened to the THREE cars I brought over to have done. I don’t know if it’s a change in management, or the staff in the bays are simply overworked and cutting corners. Hence, my comment here, and one less star.
Still don’t understand their «Make An Appointment» system. If I make an appointment for 11am, for example, I would think my car would be services within 15 minutes of that time. Many customers I overhear think the same thing. Instead, that time apparently only seems to be that instead of a 4 – 5 hour wait (during heavy times), you’ll be waiting 2 – 3 hours. Huh? Is that’s Discount Tire Co’s policy? If so, it should be plainly stated on their website or when people call in to make an appointment. Fortunately, there is a local Starbucks where I can sit and work while I wait. Please consider providing some clarity into this policy.

I had my tires get super low and the people here offered to fill my tires up for FREE! I love that! I will be coming back to get my winter tires here just for the friendly service.

I’ve brought both of my cars to this location for years, and I’ve always been very happy with their service. Keep in mind, this particular store is extremely busy because of all the businesses and the hospital nearby. This isn’t the store to wait at if you’re in a rush, but their service is top notch and I’ve always been treated well by their sales and service staff.

Twice in a row now, this place has screwed my family over.
The first time, my dad was ordering a new tire because one of the ones he had just recently had replaced went flat before the warranty was up. For 3 weeks, they dicked around, telling my mom that they’d call her back about when she could drop the car off to get the new tire installed, & never did. My mom went in & raised absolute hell until it was finally taken care of.
My sister is in town from California, & the day they got here, they got a flat tire. This place said they’d order the tires & we’d have them by today — 5 business days later. My sister made it very, very clear that they needed the tire TODAY so that they could go home today, since they are in from out of town.
When my sister called yesterday to ensure that the tires would be here by today, the guy she spoke to swore up & down that they’d have the tire in either yesterday or today.
Well, my sister called today to find out where the tire she ordered is, & these fools haven’t even ordered it yet! What the hell did we give them a deposit for if they had no plans to even order the tire before we need it?! The whole family is on the way there now to raise hell again, & you can bet that my mom & sister will not be leaving that store until this crap is resolved.
We will NEVER use this place again.

So long story short we blew a tire on I25 Saturday afternoon thanks to tar all over the roads in both directions. Had a terrible weekend. Came in today ⁵⁄₁₁ as soon as they opened and David was able to get one tire to get me going again and ordered the other 3. He immediately offered to drive over to Prestige where my car was to pick up tire and drop it off for repair. I ended up doing that for him since I seen how busy they were. But for me it’s the thought that counts. He also ran out to the delivery truck to make sure it was there and had it fixed by the time I showed up. I get the same treatment at the Discount by my house. It’s refreshing to see great service at other locations. David turned my crappy weekend into a wonderful Monday. Thanks, much Appreciated.

Dominic worked hard getting my special, X5 tires to Denver saving me $ 100 and a trip to Colorado Springs.
These tires in Vail were $ 250 more, too, at my local tire stores.
When I got to my appointment, these guys got me in early in spite of the big line of other «best deal on tires» customers.
Highly recommended.

Routine tire rotation, free flat repair and only a one hour wait. Oh yeah, Starbucks here I come.

James was professional and honest. He told me I would be in and out in 45 minutes, they were right on time. Did a great job, very happy with the price.

*DISCLAIMER*: I’ve been once and it was a FREE visit.
I’m driving home late one evening (past 11pm) and my car dummy lights go off. LOW TIRE PRESSURE. If my car is so smart, it’d tell me WHICH tire. I pulled over and attempted to remedy the situation myself, but I’m pretty hopeless. I prayed that the tire would not be flat in the morning.
Early the next morning, i drive it out to this Discount Tire. In about 20 seconds, one of the customer service reps sees my problem. I had a screw/​nail in the rear tire. (*$UR (*IJOFDS! But here, they take care of that kind of stuff FOR FREE, even if you did not purchase your tires from them.
About 45 min later, they’ve fixed my tire, checked the air pressure in the rest of the tires, and sent me on my way. Where else do you get that kind of service FOR FREE?

Consistently Excellent Service. Year after year.
I’ve bought many tires from this Discount location and always had great service. This year I had to make a last second mad dash to Kansas City from Las Vegas hoping to see my mother one last time before she passed away. I didn’t make it in time. I pushed very hard to get there… and my tires didn’t handle it very well. I wanted to come back via Denver and if it snowed… my tires looked like racing slicks. Not good.
I called the new Discount Tire store that opened in Belton, MO but they were clueless and tried to sell me a tire I didn’t want. I got frustrated, nobody in KC had the tires I wanted. Then I remembered the Discount Tire location on West Colfax. I called… they had the tires I really wanted! I set an appointment for the next morning and 10 hours later I’m watching the sun come up over Downtown Denver from their parking lot. They had the right tires sitting out ready go, and they had them installed and I was out of there in under an hour. And the pricing was spot on with the online pricing I cross checked.
The staff at Discount Tire on West Colfax have served me and my family well for many years but this trip they were truly exceptional. 5 Stars for a tire shop? They’ve earned every one of them.
