I support businesses in neighboring cities such as Lakewood. My son and I visited this store today at noon. There was only one person working the counter and there was a line. As I patiently waited for my turn, another clerk opened up and I suggested that the manager should staff this store with an extra body on Saturdays. He said it wouldn’t matter because there weren’t enough hours for part-timers. As he was explaining this, I can sense the annoyance & subtle rudeness of this young employee. I kept my cool & listened. He was ringing up my sons GT5 game but the box was opened and he said its new and it’s the last one. I said, well if the box was open and content wasn’t inside the box because it’s used as a «visual display», I considered it used. He said no, it’s new. Obviously, the company needs to retrain or confer with their staff. Parents like me are the ones that pours $$$ on their store and rude behavior is unacceptable. I have given this store a 1 star for the rude behavior & the rationale given to me about the opened box of GT5 game purchased.

Oh my gosh. Have I finally found the holy grail of Gamestops? This location is perfectly sized and unlike every other Gamestop I’ve ever been to there is actually plenty of floorspace for customers to move around. No more are you forced to turn sideways to move around between the walls & floor displays. I knew that things were going to be excellent from the moment I stepped into the store. I’m only dinging because I came in to see if I could get some accessories & possibly some used games for my Wii U and I was disappointed to see that the Wii U section was delegated to a tiny little section in the corner. I know the system isn’t selling as hotly as the PS4&XB1, but still. Sales are up so I would’ve liked to have seen a bigger selection. I’ve seen it in other locations, so I’m not sure why it’s not happening here.

This is the best GameStop I’ve been to. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, like other reviewers have mentioned, but what separates them from all other GameStops is how they treat me. They treat me as an equal. Being a gamer girl I’m often questioned and quizzed by the opposite gender always trying to validate whether I’m a «true gamer» and not just some«fake geek girl» or whatever. I’ve had it happen at all other GameStops with not only fellow customers but the employees as well. I thought it was just a guy thing. Turns out it isn’t because the staff at this particular store are just awesome. I can see they’re as passionate about games as I am and when they ask me about a favorite game or a game I’m looking for they don’t do it in a condescending manner. They get excited with me and sometimes we discuss what we like about a particular series and whatnot. It’s refreshing to walk into a store and be able to feel welcomed instead of having to watch your back or keep your head down and just get your game and leave. It feels nice to be an equal.

Great selection of new and used video games. Everyone once in a while you can find a deal too: I recently picked up Assassin’s Creed for Xbox360 for only $ 26! Also, the trade-in prices are fair enough. In general the employees of this Gamestop are knowledgeable, patient and talkative. I appreciate getting recommendations and hearing their thoughts on what they’re playing. They’re all gamers. You can see it by the look in their eyes. If you stop in don’t forget to check out Johnny’s Frozen Yogurt just a few doors down. It’s a nice one/two punch.
