Hands & Tans Day Spa

I went into Hands & Tans yesterday with a strange request. I didn’t need a tan, rather, I needed some help with a craft project. I’d made a glass mobile for a friend’s baby shower, and– as always– had used a UV-​reactive glass epoxy to secure some of the knotted strands. Well, mother nature hadn’t exactly cooperated with the early November sunlight, and even after leaving the piece outside for two semi-​sunny afternoons, the epoxy still hadn’t cured properly. The baby shower was that afternoon, and I was in a bind. Enter Hands & Tans.
The owner (sorry, I never caught his name!) was SO helpful. In fact, he said my request wasn’t even the strangest he’d received over the years. I wanted to put a glass mobile in a tanning bed for five minutes? Sure, no problem! Without so much as batting an eye, he set into a bed, flipped on the timer, and cooked my epoxy to perfect solidity like a pro. And the kicker? He didn’t even charge me to do it. Very cool.
This is a small, neighborhood place, and he greeted his customers by name as they came and left. A nice touch, in an industry overwhelmed by franchises that require you to sign away your life on the dotted line before soaking up some faux winter color (At The Beach, I’m talking to you!). Highly recommended.

This place is great! It’s a little out of my way, but it has really fair prices. The owner is super friendly, and so is the rest of the staff. I have never had a bad experience!

Not only are Hands & Tans tanning packages the BEST deal in the entire Denver metro area, but their spa is clean and modern and their staff is very polite and helpful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. After I moved from Wheat Ridge to NE Denver, I still drove 25 min. to tan at Hands & Tans. They can’t be beat. I shopped around and went back to their spa. Definitely worth the drive for me!

Great value, helpful, polite staff, clean, modern equipment, Definitely the best. They provide the old-​fashioned, fast, friendly, great service with a smile professional touch. I would never go elsewhere. Found them by reading google map reviews and they live up to every positive review you read.

I love this place and no contract is required and the prices are competative. The owner really is pleasant and the rooms are clean and the bulbs are hot and A/​C in everyroom.
THE ONLY CON — the hours… They are all over the place, no consistancy. I have so many things to remember as it is, I hate always looking up thier hours to see if they will work with mine.
Also, the weekend hours are not condusive to my hours, not open early enough or late enough for me to make it there. BUT I have been told that if you call and say you are on the way they will stay open for you.
I eneded up purchasing tans from them, but find myself going to another salon on the weekends, it is a pain.
Also, if it is a holiday, you better call first. If you have a flexible schedule, visit them.

This place is right down the street from my house. The owner is really nice, and you can tell, takes pride in his place. It’s very clean and the tanning beds are well maintained and have strong bulbs. He made sure to let me know that they change them often.
They only have basic tanning beds (the reason for the lack of a five star), the fanciest being facial bulbs, but if you don’t want anything more than that, it’s a really good deal. I got the 5 tans for $ 19.
They also have massage and hair and nail services but I can’t comment on those since I only tanned.
