Lakewood Alignment has been tending to my alignments for more than 30 years… 8 cars so far. Won’t switch as long as they are there. Good people. Skilled. Dependable.

Getting a quote over the phone for $ 42, half the price of the Toyota dealer, I set up an appointment for an hour later. I was surprised to find a totally empty garage and wondered why I needed a specific appointment.
So they do my alignment and after it is done, I am told I need to have my steering sensor set for another $ 78.00. I was urged to do so but I decided not to until I checked with Toyota.
I go to pay my bill and, rather than the quoted price of $ 42, I was charged $ 52. One way or another, they were going to get more money than quoted.
When I balked, I was told it was because it was a truck. They knew that when I was quoted over the phone, so it was nothing more than the typical shop practice of trying to get you to pay more and more, nickeling and diming you to death.
I went directly to Toyota and found that adjusting the steering sensor after a minor alignment is not necessary, so this shop was upselling me for something I did not need. Four different people at Toyota said that only after a collision does the sensor need adjusting.
Later that evening, my son is under my truck and spots a crescent wrench still attached to the suspension… left by the alignment guy. Thanks a lot, I had driven 50 miles with that thing hanging on.
It really is no wonder why the 10 or so bays were totally empty.
