First time here… Not bad. Only one waitress/server at noon and not a lot of foot traffic. Took awhile to be served and ordered pan friend dumplings(which were way too greasy) steamed meat dumplings(Korean style because i couldn’t order the other kinds that were still on their very pretty menu), shrimp fried rice and Mongolian beef. The experience was ok but not super exciting either. I hope they’ll be better the next time I go. *I just really wanted good pork dumplings– no added noodles just minced pork garlic onion salt pepper steamed fresh-*

This place is disgusting!!! When they first opened I tried it and ordered spice seafood noodle soup with the combination of sweet n sour chicken. THECHICKENWASUNDERCOOKEDANDWHEN I TOLDTHEMTHATITWASTHEYSAIDTHEYCOULDNTDOANYTHINGBECAUSEITWASALREADYSERVEDTOME. I came another time with some friends and the noodles had mold on it… How are they not out of business yet lol? I drive by almost everyday and I don’t see a single car in the parking lot. Meh the owner must have a little money to play with. Beats me. Don’t eat here, EVER.

I went twice ordered jjajjangmyun twice and both times it was«ok» I liked how the noodles were cooked and the sauce is ok but I was not impressed enough to go back a third time. I shop at Hmart every week and would love a good place to go eat. Well that good place is not in the plaza where Hmart is .we have so many good Korean places in town. I think Mairi Hyang is «close» it could be good. But the spark is not there. Ok credit to the fried chicken .my husband ordered it it comes on a plate .just a pile of fried chicken and it is good . I wanted to love this place, truly love going out to eat and shopping with friends but we have to get in the car because as of now I can not walk from Hmart to anything with in reason. Please read our reviews and spark the food up just a bit. thanks

First impression: I’ve passed this place a couple of times but the big red posters on the outside of the building never really enticed me to come in and order. After seeing some of the pictures on Unilocal,I decided I had to try it. I ordered at 12:00pm; the place is right down the street from my work so I was able to arrive in about 5 minutes and my order, to my surprise, my hot and ready. Wow! When I walked in, this place was nothing like I had expected. The inside is modern and the décor is cute and inviting; nothing like the other Korean restaurants you’d find in or around Lakewood. I kind of wished I hadn’t ordered take out cause I think I would have enjoyed eating in. I had the half and half jjajjangmyun and tansuyook. The taste was a little off for my liking(the tansuyook sauce has a pickle and jalapeño flavor to it) but it wasn’t bad. The chicken stayed crisp and the sauces were all hot. The price was about $ 15 after taxes and tip. Not sure if I’d like to spend that much on lunch, knowing I could get the same across the street for $ 10. That’s the great thing about being in K-Town… so many options. Anyways, I did like the fast service, the set up inside and most of the food. Will be back to try more —- with friends!

Had beef jajingmun, hot sour soup and spicy chicken(gampunki) and it was alright. Everything was on the salty side. Beef jajingmun barely had any beef and the hot and sour soup had too much corn starch making it super stewy than soupy. The spicy chicken was also boneless which was different than the gampunki that I usually have at other Korean/Chinese restaurants. There wasn’t anyone else in the restaurant which made it even more weird… the atmosphere was nice. Overall food was alright. I give it 3 stars.

Food was great & it came fast. There wasn’t a lot of people when my daughter & I came in so we were probably fortunate. The food was a delight to our hungry buds. I love the SEAFOODSOUP. It was just perfectly made by the kitchen chef. The SHRIMPCHOWMEIN was tastefully prepped as well. It wasn’t overcooked or too greasy. The atmosphere is classy & music is wonderful & relaxing. We didn’t feel pressured. Appetizers start at around $ 5. Lunch Entrée’s begin around $ 6+. Dinner entrée’s start at $ 10+. Combo & group meals upto $ 35+. Definitely a great experience for our Mommy & Daughter Date

Malri hyang resturant is one of my favorite chinese style korean resturant. To explain this place little bit, they specializes in noodles; two main noodle dishes are called spicy seafood noodle(jambbong) and black bean noodle(jang jang myun). Also they have unique fried rice thats very popular among american customer call assorted fried rice. It has combination of chicken, pork and shrimp which is excellent idea in my opinion. Lastly, their meat is amazing as they cook it crispy and just right for consumption. Not to mention, this place’s interior is fabulous as some parts in the resturant such as table and walls are carved with shiny black stones. I wouldnt be hesitate to recommend this place to my friend, coworkers and families to dine in.

Well I had a bad experience last time but I came back because I got a $ 5 off coupon from H-mart. I AMNOTKIDDING. I found«A PIECEOFMETALDISHSCRUBBER» in my seafood soup!!! I was shocked and called my server and she didn’t seem surprised. WTH??? She just said sorry(it was just superficial apology) and gave me a new soup but it killed my appetite already. You know? Well, that’s it. I almost ate«A PIECEOFMETAL(½inch)». And the flavor… So bland again… So bland… I don’t understand if they don’t taste their food before they serve. Even my friend said«meh it tasted like nothing. They need to know something’s wrong with their food when people didn’t even eat a half of it» So disappointed.

I’ve been to Malri hyang in their other locations i. Lynnwood and Federal way, and they were so good! So i gave this one a shot, and it didn’t fail to impress me again. I love their tang-soo –yook(sweet and sour pork); the meat is SO crispy and the sauce is not too sweet, yet flavorful I also love their pepper&pork dish with the steamed buns. The buns are really chewy(NOT those fresh from the freezer) and the combo of meat and spicy pepper is a bit spicy and goes well with the buns Will be coming back for more!

The egg roll is just right. So crispy and delicious. And the spicy seafood noodle soup is great. Not too spicy. And you can really taste the fresh sea food.

Woah. First time here and looks amazing(so far) hehe c: I have to admit, they did quite an amazing job for the interior of this newly opened restaurant! I think I may have dined in once with my mom and her friends when it used to be the Korean Noodles shop but cannot remember how the interior looked. If people read my reviews often, they know I give at least 1−2+ stars when the interior of where I plan on paying to enjoy my food is relatively nice. Now, before I get too absored in the décor… I think it may be a little too much for a Korean-Chinese restaurant, no? But then again it does not have any negative consequences. Okay Okay, time for the food! Since that is what it is all about. I ordered the Spicy Garlic Beef and my friend had ordered the Ma Po Tofu(different places spell differently). I am not too big a fan when it comes to beef at Chinese restaurants but I wanted something spicy and garlic-y. Therefore, ordered the Spicy Garlic Beef. It looked quite appetizing, most definitely… as for the taste? Not too shabby. However, this part always gets to me when I order beef entrees at Chinese restaurants: texture… tenderness… yup. It was difficult to chew my way through. Aside from my own, I absolutely had to try my friend’s — I absolutely adore tofu! Maybe it is because my friend and I were chit-chatting for too long but the tofu dish… became gelatinous… is that even normal? Probably not. It tasted kind of bland and definitely not what I was expecting. However, do not give up yet on this dish! I took the leftover home and reheated next day to eat for breakfast– it tasted perfectly fine. I think we just waited too long to dig in. For most, I have said what I must for the food so you can stop reading from this point on. For others, I have to make a comment about the service of this place. Definitely think they are on the ball when it comes to keeping customers content… but a little too content. The staff seemed fairly new at waiting tables and was not fully experienced. They would have 2 – 3 different people come check up on us every 2 – 3 minutes which was unnecessary. Nothing wrong with too much attention but working in the restaurant industry for almost half a decade– I think I know when there is a little too much«friendly service». In the end, I would not mind coming here again with friends but the pricing is a bit high for a Korean-Chinese restaurant.
