Max Tan is under New Ownership! With our new look, new bulbs and new level 3 we have upgraded to make your tanning experience one of a kind. We specialize in UV tanning as well as UV custom spray tans by Antigua Spray Tanning. This year we were recognized for the Supre Tan Model Search favorite salon for 2013 – 2014!

History

Established in 2012.

Max Tan has been around for over 10 years! In May of 2012 the Graham family took over new ownership. Since then they have implemented their vision of what they dreamed Max Tan to be! Slowly but surely the changes are underway. With the previous outdated look, the Graham family gave Max Tan a whole new makeover. The new modern look has a spa like feel with a relaxing image that can take you to that «get away feeling». With the new look came the new bulbs in all 3 levels as well as a new level 3 high pressured bed! They also have carried on with their success in their Antigua Spray Tans. Antigua Spray Tanning has been around for 5 years now and is located right inside of Max Tan. With their great technician Megan, you can’t go wrong! She brings a personal touch to your custom spray tan to ensure your tan is perfect! The vision of the Max Tan family isn’t finished, but is on the fast track to expanding and offering new great additions!

I’m a big supporter of family-​owned, small businesses and Max Tan is one of the best! The employees are always so pleasant and remember details like how a recent trip was, how work is going, etc. that very much make me feel like a valued customer. The prices are very reasonable and I’ve never had to wait longer than 5 – 10 minutes for a bed. In the year and a half that I’ve been a customer, they have changed the bulbs at least 2 – 3 times and the facility is always very clean. The location is easy to get to with accessible street parking (and a lot across the street). I always enjoy my visits to Max Tan and would recommend it to everyone!

I’ve gone to other Lakewood locations to tan, and I will never go anywhere else but Max Tan. Everyone is really friendly and efficient, and I love that they always have music playing overhead. I didn’t realize my 2 month unlimited tanning had expired the day before I was to leave on vacation, and I was waived in with no problem… this particular experience will be the reason that I return to this salon.

Max Tan’s staff is always super friendly and informative. It’s pricier than your average «$ 12/​mo unlimited» place, but the bulbs are always hot, the beds are always clean, and they have a great selection of lotions and care products. This place is my new go-​to for beating the Cleveland winter blues!

As far as tanning salon’s go, I dig this place. They are a little bit overpriced, but I’ve realized that most tanning salon’s in Cleveland are overpriced. I had tanned at the Four Seasons on Detroit Ave and it was a total hole. I would’ve tried anywhere after that lack luster introduction to the Cleveland tanning scene.
Max Tan is kinda small, but I haven’t had to wait more than a few minutes for a bed, but I go during the day when everyone else is lucky enough to be in work, so I’m not sure about the ‘after work crowd’. The staff is friendly and it is CLEAN. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to lay my bare tush on a questionable surface… especially if I’m paying to be there! The bulbs seem pretty new and I typically feel like I’ve gotten some ‘color’ when I leave. I was actually pretty pink after I went the first few times, which was surprising considering I had just finished a month at Four Seasons. I guess the bulbs at Max Tan are stronger, bonus. They provide you with the appropriate eyewear and a towel (clean up after yourselves people! Don’t leave proof that you ‘glisten’ for the poor girls to clean — Yes, I used to work in a tanning salon)
I am nearing the end of my 2nd month at Max Tan and I am sure I will renew sometime this summer or early fall, unless someone opens a tanning salon Tremont (wink wink — nudge nudge)
