Good food. I ordered the chili rellenos. Very tasty, lots of cheese and a tasty chili inside. Good service. Friendly

Decent food choices. But my traditional breakfast wasn’t good. Didn’t have any flavor.

Max’s is going to be my new go-​to for Mexican grub! I had the most amazing smothered burrito there last week and downloaded Unilocal just to write this review!

The stuffed sopapillas are the best! I get them every time I go. I’ve never eaten at the restaurant, we always get take out, but the staff that we’ve dealt with have always been great.

A nice little restaurant close to us! I am a fan. We have only been there once, but see ourselves going regularly. We both had the filled relleno plate and were very happy with it. The beans were very tasty, the rellenos were very tasty. Just what I expected from a place like this.
The service was pleasant and paid attention to us. Got to us quickly, got our drinks fast, and dinner came quickly too! So very good. My partner had the margarita and was happy with it. I am a beer drinking, and the selection was not outstanding but acceptable for this type of place.
We will make it one of our go to places!

Great Mexican café– Real Mexican food, typical old school Mexican atmosphere. Good food for a good price. Breakfast burrito smothered = Bueno! I thought the house salsa was a little weak.

Mediocre in every way.
Hash browns were undercooked and my egg tacos were a bit bland. Wish the food was cared for a bit more. Cost is too high for this level of food.

The picture above of breakfast menu is correct on the choices but the current prices are much higher!
Service was average at best, waitress was super slow and never would bring the check, had to pay at register.
Breakfast was hot and plentiful but not special in any way, chips and salsa was basic store bought and tortillas were also store bought.

Tears ran down my face as the food arrived, we had been out of chips for a solid 8 minutes and the hunger was becoming unbearable. She set down our plates and a sense of relief came down my body as I had ordered the stuffed Sopapilla with rice and beans. I was Eager to have the salty well seasoned meat cover my taste buds as I lifted a full fork up to my lips, I place the fork in my mouth and dread envelopes me. As I separate the tastes in my mouth I come to find out that not only was the meat bland, but the Sopapilla was… Sweet. I imidatly burst into tears and demand my son switch me meals.

Pretty much in love with this place! Yolanda was very sweet and accommodating to my odd requests. Everything was delicious and service was prompt. Things were priced accordingly. I will be back!

I try tacos al carbon at every Mexican restaurant I eat at. They were delicious! My boyfriend enjoyed his steak burritos as well. The only downfall would be the chips and salsa. They need a little work.

Enchiladas montadas. That’s all I’ll say. Stay away from the margaritas — the bottom shelf sweet n sour doesn’t mask the bottom shelf tequila. Pair that over easy egg with a Mexican malt beverage of your choice.

Sort of a bad location but an authentic Mexican meal.

Decent breakfast burrito. I wouldn’t drive across town to get it, but if you are close by and are craving one, this will get the job done. Green chili was lacking in flavor, and tasted a bit brothy. I took mine to go and it seemed like they did more of a take out business than dine in, since the place isn’t much to look at.

Great Mexican food in Denver. My favorite is the stuffed sopapilla, but there are so many great selections that it would be hard to go wrong. Very friendly staff.

I’ve had a lot of life experience eating Mexican food, and was not impressed with my meal here. The complimentary chips seemed store bought, and the salsa had some weird aftertaste to it that I couldn’t put my finger on. I ordered the relleno and eggs as chile rellenos are my absolute favorite Mexican dish, and the entire meal was subpar. The relleno itself was mainly batter with a small, flavorless pepper and almost no cheese. It was smothered in red sauce which had an off-​putting flavor. The dish came with hash browns that weren’t cooked all the way through, and refried beans that tasted like they came from a can. The flour tortillas were obviously store bought as well, and suffered from tasting «gummy.» The eggs were the only decent part of the dish, and if a restaurant messes up scrambled eggs than that’s a whole other problem. My boyfriend enjoyed his smothered breakfast burrito, and claimed that the green chile was very good, but as a vegetarian, that’s not something I can partake in. I don’t plan on returning.

Finally I found a fantastic burrito on this side of town! Great chile and crispy bacon… oh so good!

Delicious, authentic and huge portions! Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, yummy margaritas. I’ll definitely be back!

Wow, complete hole in the wall, looks so scuzzy from the outside, but the service was great and the food was good, great for the price as well.
The breakfast burritos are huge!!! I order a number 6. The food was fresh, and hot. Could not ask for better. I will return again.

This place has some of the most epic breakfast burritos in the world & I’m not even kidding. On the outside it looks like your typical dive but on the inside, while completely no frills, is very clean, accommodating & home to friendly employees.
If you’re looking for great Mexican food, get here ss fast as you can!
