Old Country Buffet Lakewood Tacoma

First time at this location and our last! For starters the girl at the counter and over-​charged us. Mngr fixed it. We were left to seat ourselves in a super busy place. We had to sit next to where they send/​clean the dirty dishes. The floors were gross cant tell ya how many times the servers passed by trash on the floor and just left it. The smell was horrible, I was so grossed out by it my mind was already made up before I even got to taste the food. Also, as cramped as it was they still had the nerve to pass the huge dirty dish cart behind me rubbing the dirty wet black plastic cover against my sweater, yuck! When I finally did get the nerve to get some «food» I got a serving of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and brown gravy, and a slice of roast beef with au ju. The beef tasted like it had been chewed already no flavor even with the au ju. Like chewing on cardboard. The meatloaf was worse than meat from a McDonald’s burger. They also ran out of silverware and straws. Oh, and just in I’m sick to my stomach. The one in the Puyallup mall is so different in a great way. Don’t even waste your money at this location.

This place doesn’t seem to have a good dish washer. I’ve tried eating there several times over these past few years and I always seem to find dirty plates and utensils! Sometimes the food is dried out and tasteless like it’s been sitting to long on the steam serving table. Prices have gone up as well but food quality remains mediocre at best.

I forgot to write this review from our dinner the other night. My review is based only on the lady who cleared off our table. She deserves these stars.

My fiancé and I went to this location a while ago when they had first remodeled and it was amazing. But we recently went back twice. Once on a weeknight and once on the weekend. The food selection was very slim and not very appetizing. They offered what I’m assuming were egg based skillets that looked like rubber. The chicken was dry and the macaroni and cheese made me long for the days of cafeteria food in elementary school. Our plates were only cleared one time and the dessert station… oh man… the soft serve ice cream looked like someone had murdered a body filled with ice cream and it splattered everywhere. Going back on the weekend was no better. Terrible terrible place.

The food was excellent along with the customer service.
Everyone was very helpful and has a great positive attitude. I will definitely be back to this place.

Wow, this makes the kent and federal way locations look like a pay by the hour motel. this location is CLEAN which is something that rarely accompanies OCB. the food tastes much better than the other locations as well. Décor is up to date and there is no dried food smeared on the walls! Dishes are presented with care actually looking appetizing. Only downside was the lack of inititive by the hostess. I was in line behind a field trip each child paying individually. The line was out the door with even more children behind me and no new line was opened.

First of all we were overcharged even with military discount we paid $ 130.00 for 8 adults 4 children all with drinks.
The food was ok. its hit or miss when you go. some was good some was ok. Our worker was nice and quick to clear our table.
