I would not recommend buying any gear from this store. I bought a mask, snorkel and fins from RMDC and about an hour after buying I realized they were not what I needed so I called back and was told I had 30 days to return the purchase as long as I had a receipt. I attempted to return the equipment 2 weeks after purchase and was refused. I was told by the associate, Mark, that the policy is 1 week as he pointed to a small sign hidden on the other side of the counter showing their 1 week policy as if to indicate that I should have seen this small, innocuous sign nestled in amongst the other clutter when I made the purchase. Which by the way he made no attempt to point out at the time of purchase. Additionally, their merchandise is way over priced which helps explain the ridiculously short return period and their efforts to keep their customers in the dark about it. Be sure what you are buying is what you need and be sure to shop around first, very likely you can purchase the same thing much cheaper elsewhere.

A friend chose this place for us to take scuba lessons and working with Mark was great. It was difficult for me to relax while breathing underwater but Mark was patient and gave me the extra time and attention I needed to get comfortable. I cannot say what the other dive shops are like but Mark really cared enough to make sure I would enjoy diving. He was honest about what equipment to buy, didn’t try to sell me the most expensive stuff and wasn’t concerned with where I bought it so long as I was going to be satisfied with it. Our open-water test will be done in Cozumel, a trip that was also booked through Mark. Having been to many of the scuba diving destination he was able to make some practical and affordable suggestions for our upcoming trip. Brian
