I’m never really picky about which places I choose to to do my eyebrows, and thank God every place I’ve been to has never messed up. I’ve been to this place twice and I liked it. The two times I’ve been there, I got the lady on the Payless shoe store side and I’ve had zero complaints because she gets the job done very well. This time, that lady wasn’t there so I got the one on the other side. I was not satisfied at all. She left my eyebrows looking like little equal signs. I’m so not happy with the outcome. If I go there, I’m making sure that I get the other lady.

***reviewed this business 3wks ago and I am sad to say that I have even bigger disdain for them now. Do yourself a favor, DONOT buy a membership here. It’s not worth the hassle. The customer service is the worst I’ve probably ever dealt with and upper management, don’t even get me started. There are so many other(less expensive) places to go. I suggest trying them.

I came to this location once… I asked for a simple clean-up since it’s been awhile. At this time, my eyebrows were terrible and I over-plucked so my «tails» were missing. I proceeded to sit down and right away, the girl says, «I can’t thread your brows because your tails are missing.» Umm, ok? It doesn’t mean that I don’t have other parts of my brows to tend to… She«cleaned» them anyways and it was the worst threading I’ve ever received. FYI, the employees don’t need any certification or licensing. They train you to thread if you’re the right candidate. shady.

Got my eyebrows done here while shopping because I was too lazy to go to my regular spot in Artesia. They did my eyebrows perfect! This will def be my new spot for my eyebrows!

I walked right up with no appointment and the girl working there was able to help me. She was really nice and was able to clean up my not very full, but scraggly brows. Now they at least have some shape and look clean. I also think threading hurts, but this wasn’t too bad. Better than Ziba from what I remember. The only downside is that you’re in the middle of the mall.

If you can withstand some pain I say do it, go for it. It’s a lot more painful than waxing but it’s amazing, because the hair doesn’t grow back as quick and it grows thinner. I love it!!! Never going back to waxing… Threading all the way!

My eyebrows were looking a bit unkempt, so I made a reluctant visit to the Lakewood Mall intending on going to Ziba Beauty. I found the service at Ziba Beauty to be good, but 1) it’s pricey, and 2) I hated how hard they were trying to upsell. After I said no, they kept on nagging about the same service over and over again. I vowed never to go again and actually tried to go elsewhere, but the waxer had a day off. The fact that I was going ZB tells you how desperate I was to get groomed. Happily for me, I discovered that Shapes Brow Bar opened up. Shapes offers threading, which if you’re into that, it’s great. Personally, I don’t care for threading, mostly because it takes too long. Waxing is just zip, it’s over. With threading, the stinging sensation goes on and on until they’re satisfied. Still, the fact that I didn’t have to go to Ziba made it worthwhile to stand the slight sting. Pros for Shapes Brow Bar: 1) They’re cheaper than Ziba Beauty($ 10 eyebrow threading) 2) The girl(she did seem very young) who worked on me was very quick, efficient, and thorough at very all(and I do mean ALL) of the stray hairs. I was satisfied with the job that she did. 3) No upsell to add more services. She did what I asked for and didn’t ask if I wanted anything else. This I found to be a huge relief. 4) Very conveniently located to where my parents live. Cons for Shapes Brow Bar: 1) It’s a kiosk, so you better not be shy about being worked on where people can see you. 2) Can’t tip via credit card, so carry cash for tips. This is a good place to go to if you need a tidy up and don’t mind being a little public.
