Good lunch spot. Fast, cheap, authentic. I got two tacos and beans and rice for $ 5.30. Good Horchada too.

Love this place! I got asada tacos… generous portions, full of flavor. I was very happy that I could place my order over the phone. It was ready when I got arrived 10 min later. Not only was it clean and organized, it felt nice and cool in the restaurant too!

I live a short distance from here. From someone who grew up with taco trucks, and taco stands, I think I know a thing or two about tacos. This place is the real deal. No thrills, no frills. No ridiculous bastardization of the food they serve. If you order a taco, you get a real taco. If you order a burrito, you get a burrito. They do not add american or monterey jack cheese to everything. They serve you real food. Prices are more than fair, and the service is genuine. This place is not a hole in the wall, or a hang out spot, or a fancy sit down place. It is a nice little joint, with excellent food, that does not pretend to serve anything but authentic mexican fast food. This place has become our go to place for take out, whether it is breakfast– lunch– or dinner, it is a great spot. For me, it is a toss up come lunch or dinner. Torta or burrito? Asada or al pastor? But, in either case, I have to have 2 tacos de cabeza to go along with it. The red salsa is HOT. Delicious, but hot. Highly recommend this place if you need a quick meal, or in the mood for no non-sense real Mexican food.

If you want real Mexican food this is the place to go and their prices are good compared to what I have paid at other places. The big thing is remember they are small but love the food.

So good! The salsa makes it better. Friendly service, clean place, and close by! Loved that they weren’t greasy!

I ordered a slope(chicken), it was good. Got a side of guacamole, which isn’t made the was you would assume. It’s more like a watered down salsa. We order chips in the salsa bar was down so we had to ask for everything we wanted… The young girl serving us seemed she didn’t want to be there. She kept disappearing in the back. The piña drink was also too watered down. My tostada was okay, nothing special. My boyfriend liked his burrito. Better than Taco Bell, but nothing I would run back too.

If I could give less than a one I would. Today o bought the Carne Asada Wet Green Burrito with 2 Asada tacos and 1 al pastor taco with a horchata the meat was not trimmed well and the al pastor was dry the green chile burrito was overly spicy my food was terrible and they had just opened I even told the guy it was my first time eating at the establishment and it was terrible never again will I eat there.

I gave this place a chance 3 times. First time, they had to apologize that they ran out of what I wanted to order. Second visit, same thing. Third time I ordered Mojarra Frita. limes were dry and fish was matching the dryness of the limes. That was my last straw. I’ll give 2 stars since the staff is ok and was not flat out rude about anything. But after 2 times in row of not having enough supply to the desired dish ordered rubbed me the wrong way. I would not return back.

Thank you so very very much to the ladies who were working the morning after thanksgiving for providing myself and the hungover stragglers from the night before with glorious breakfast burritos of or liking.

I was staying over my friend’s place in Long Beach. I wanted to go somewhere close for lunch. I wanted Pozole but they were out that day so I ordered the carne asada tacos and the shrimp tacos instead. Both were delicious with the spicy, hot sauce. The hot sauce made me sweat but I love good hot sauce with a lot of kick! No complaints about the service and my food came out in a reasonable time. When I visited my friend again, I stopped by here to get more tacos. It’s great to be back in Southern CA. I have missed cheap, delicious Mexican food so much!

Around the corner and can actually be called Mexican food. I grew up on the real deal and have no complains about this place. The Tortas are so good and their burritos are a good size always friendly.

The food is good. I absolutely love the beans and rice here. I could eat that alone. But the carne asada is delicious. My daughter and I love this place for tacos. Our only wish is that they would grill the onions. The place is always clean and the service is always prompt and efficient. My only complaint is that it is a bit expensive for mexican take out, but like I said it is very good.

Buche tacos and wet burritos are delicious. Asked for everything and got everything! Price is great, about the same as others. I wish their salsa bar was open because I feel bad constantly asking for more limes and salsa :)

Just moved to Bixby and been comin here for the past couple of weeks. Its a good place I can come to thats close by when I gotta taste for mexican food. Only thing is they charge extra for sour cream but its coo I get it everybody gotta make they money right. Anyways this is a chill small place with good consistent food and its not really that crowded in the afternoon so you can get your food and dip.

Ambiance: Nothing too crazy and the paintings on the wall are a nice touch. It’s nice, clean, and spacious. Service: The guy working the front counter was pretty helpful and always attentive. Kudos to you sir! Thank you for your service. FOOD!: HOT! And not your Del Taco or Taco Bell hot. I mean this salsa will kick through whatever happy feelings you have of your childhood and pepper spray then in the FACE kinda hot! And yes my friend, that’s my kind of hot. I loved the marinated pork and the asada tacos. Conclusion: I’ll be back my fiery little friend. I’ll be back!

Too nice to be considered a «hole in the wall» but still shitty enough not to be considered«fancy». First time and last time eating here. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt because other Unilocalers said it was good food… except it wasn’t. As soon as you walk in it’s super awkward, it smells funky(like cleaning liquids, not food), the music is quiet, and there’s no one in there. Already a bunch of red flags. We came here because we saw that tacos were only $ 1.25 each but currently they are $ 1.40 each. All of their prices went up although their take home menu doesn’t say the new prices. The salsa bar«wasn’t working» and when I asked for salsa I was given ONE small cup of red salsa, no limes, no cilantro/onions, no choices. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos with everything on them, but I didn’t know everything meant super hot salsa drenching the meat. I only took 1 bite of my tacos and threw them away. They weren’t enjoyable and all I tasted was the hot salsa. It wasn’t even good salsa, it just had a spicy flavor. I also ordered a bean and cheese burrito which was okay but nothing to write home about. My bf ordered a carne asada burrito which had the same spicy salsa in it that made it unbearable to eat. I am thoroughly disappointed with this place. It seems like they might go out of business soon too… Just a weird place with mediocre food.

First time here. We were grated very nice. The gentleman offered little samples of their jugo. We got the pineapple. It was soooooooooooo good. The sope was so yummy. My hubby didn’t really care for his plate. It had a certain spice taste like oregano. My hubby asked if there was the man said no. It did have an Italian taste to it. The tamale was ok. I’ve tasted better but I’ve had worse too. Over all the food was hot and pretty fast. The place is small. Seats about 30. Salsa bar is broken so just ask for salsa. The have 2 tvs. Place was clean. Their menu board and paper menu have 2 different prices. Off by about 20 – 30 cents. Overall I give this place an «A-”/ «B+»

Best Mexican food in a 5 miles area. Cheap and good. The carne asada, pollo and al pastor are delicious. Burritos mojados are good. Sauce is perfectly done. Tacos are good size too. All for a cheap price. Horchata is good too

El Tapatio is an above-average Mexican restaurant. I’ve had their lengua, cabeza and carnitas burritos and they are all bomb and packed with meat. Their salsas are also amazing but their guac is a out of this world! Watch it because it is spicy for the average person. Also had their pozole which is huge and really hearty and flavorful, comes with tostadas instead of tortillas like it is supposed to if you were to order pozole in México. Their caldos are also good and come with tortillas and a small side of Mexican rice to dump on the soup. The place is clean and really inviting but I always get my food to go.
