There is nothing like The Mission Boutique in NE Ohio – well, not that I’ve heard of anyway. And boy am I glad it’s close to me. Now if I could just make up for all the lost time…
See, today was my first visit inside and seeing as how there are years and years of great reviews on Unilocal,I’m not sure what took me so long. And if you’ve read the other reviews, you know that The Mission offers up some unique items including, but not limited to:
— A HUGE collection of corsets/​waist cinchers, ranging from serious ($$$) to costume ($)
— Erotica/S&M
— Toys and such of the adult persuasion
— Vintage dresses and tops
— Heels, boots
— Dance wear
— Harnesses
— Costumes
— Accessories of all kinds
— Wigs
… I could go on and on and on.
Today I went in on a waist cinching mission. Lately I’ve been reading about waist training and more. I got the BEST one on one attention from their staff. They answered all my questions about waist training and the different between kinds of corsets and cinchers, fabrics, care and hell – even how to properly get in and out of one of those things. I fell in love with the first cincher I tried on and they custom trimmed the laces for me before I left.
I’ll definitely be back to check out their wigs, costumes and harnesses, which look KILLER when mixed with everyday dress.
I could not recommend this place any more. Get outside your comfort zone and have some fun at The Mission.

As other reviewers pointed out please don’t let the logo fool you. It’s not a sex shop. It’s a great boutique for those of us who are counter culture. The shop ladies are friendly fun and helpful. I’ve never felt awkward as I do in some shops because I am heavily tattooed. On the contrary the ladies are very complimentary. From dresses to hairbows its the perfect shop for those of us who buck tradition.

Do not shop here they will rip you off! This store pulled the scene from «Legally Blonde» on me around Valentines Day. They took off the price tag at the register and over charged me for some items. I purchased multiple things and it was a special occasion so I did not pay much attention to what I was spending. I believe one of the owners or managers rang me out. I specifically remember what the prices were on a few things. When I looked over the receipt at home they had jacked up the price on 2 items and had conveniently taken the tag off hoping I would not notice.

Very fun and helpful ladies that work at this shop. If they don’t carry what you’re looking for, they will gladly order it for you. Beautiful clothing and accessories! They have kink and dancer items near the back. The owner is also there often and he’s very nice and professional.

Don’t let the racy logo keep you away — although this store boasts a variety of sexy outfits and toys, including stripper wear, they have great clothing, purses and accessories for the trendy gal even if you’re not into the rest! (Although if you are, certainly don’t be shy.) I love their vintage, pinup and burlesque-​style clothing and accessories, and the staff is always so friendly, helpful and flattering! I have bought a couple vintage-​style dresses here for fun events, a corset and mask for a costume, and by far the best swimsuit I’ve ever owned! It’s the same adorable retro-​pinup, one-​piece style sold on
— for cheaper! You’ll also see dress styles from retro and Instagram icons like Cherry Dollface. Good quality and unique, adorable styles… skip Forever 21 and check it out!

Are you feeling down about yourself? Just walk into The Mission– where they’ll make you feel welcomed and pretty by showering you with compliments and enthusiastic opinions. Am I glowing? Oh, it’s just because I went yesterday.
Don’t think of this as a ‘stripper shop’. The have beautiful purses, coats, shoes and dresses. Everything from pin up classy to burlesque and even some renaissance inspired garb (steampunk corsets, anyone?).
That being said, yes, there IS also a huge collection of stripper gear and sex toys but don’t let that intimidate you (unless it’s what you’re looking for!). The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful but can also read when to leave you alone and let you do your biz.

I always get terrific service from the staff at the Mission Boutique. I have found unique clothing here, both retro — style clothes and some naughty-​but-​nice items. The prices are at the moderately — high level, but the quality and service that you get here are well worth it.

Helpful staff and very much great selection of sizes and products from pin up clothing to really great fetish and dance wear. the hair dye is special effects and it’s stocked !
Corsets in particular like burlesqueka are pretty great and there is so many of them what is hard to love? Rhinestones and stocking!!!
I love the costumer service and the quality of the clothing is very nice to see kept up!

Much to my chagrin I am getting to know Lakewood. I had walked by this place several times and the lady I was walking with advised me this is a «stripper store». I was looking in the window and I think it appears to bo so much more than stripper gear.
I am in the market for a gag ball. I had a holy hunch that they had them here. You may be asking your self why, or what would a swell, family valued chap like me wants a ball gag! Well Missy, you can not dress as Ball Gag Elvis with out a frickin ball gag!
The lady behind the counter asked as matter of fact «what are youw going to use it for?» I looked at her and she looked at me, I saw a bear oh way up there. And I replied for ball gag Elvis of course. She then advised me I may want one that has breathing holes as opposed to one that did not, due to the slobber factor! I now know that a ball gag with holes fits my lifestyle choices more appropriately. This my friends is new information.

Really want to give this five stars for making my xmas shopping so effortless. I found some fun hair clips and knee socks for my wife and her sis. Lots of hip wallets, change purses, belt buckles, and hosiery to browse. The purses were cute, but a tad expensive. The clerk was very friendly and not judgy like you would expect someone with (as she described it) «Cruella» hair. The exotic dance wear all around added a nice element of naughty to the holiday shopping experience.
