I took my kids here for a birthday party yesterday. It was fun and festive. It’s small but quaint. They have a deal right now where you get ½ off admission if you bring canned food. That was a great deal for me because I brought 5 skaters. I think the price might have been high for 5 of us otherwise. I didn’t give them 5 stars because they didn’t have hot cider or hot cocoa at the rink and I think the website says they do (?). Didn’t matter — about a block away is Paciugo café where we got hot cocoa — delicious. Also, the website says that the zamboni runs at specific times. We planned our day around those times because everyone needs to clear the ice for the zamboni so it would have been nice if the website was accurate. When we got there, they had a sign stating the time the zamboni would run that day. Again, not a big a deal because we got to skate longer than we thought. All in all, I will come back with my kids and go Christmas shopping while they skate!

This place is great to have right by my house. I haven’t skated in years, and Husband isn’t a huge fan, but he decided to accompany me during a nice crisp day in December.
The rink was a decent size — definitely not for anyone who wants to show off or do tricks, but for families it is perfect.
There is a humongous tree close to the entrance of the rink with padded seats around it, so people mingle there and kind of get in the way when you’re going around the rink, and I almost took down a child or two.
The ice itself isn’t very smooth, so watch out, but all in all it was worth it and it made me happy.

It’s a cute little icy patch in between the taller buildings in the center of Belmar.
The overhead lights and Christmassy atmosphere make it a picturesque-ish spot, and the Christmas Carolers and Santa helped with that ambiance.
There were a TON of kidlets, though, so it’s definitely not a go-fast, triple axle-type rink.
Honestly, I prefer looking at it to skating on it.
Keep in mind that it’s between buildings, so it’s usually in the shade and breezy. Bring a jacket.
And some extra bucks to warm up over a beer and fireplace at one of the nearby bars.

I finally got a chance to get back on the ice, thanks to the Rink at Belmar! I hadn’t skated in nearly a decade, so I was really excited about it. And really hoping not to fall on my arse.
For a few bucks, you can rent a pair of skates and enjoy this little rink for a few hours. It’s mostly populated by small children who’ve never skated before, so be sure to take it slow around the little ones.
Overall, I loved this little gem! Skating was like riding a bike for me, you never forget! I wish the Rink were a little bigger, but it’s hard to get much more than this in Colorado. But you know what? It’s perfect for what it is.
If you find yourself in the Belmar area this holiday season, do stop by the Rink and skate a few laps. I just might be back this winter!

From the holiday décor to the cool airstream that rents skates – this place is all about the holidays. I have to add my two cents again– I have taken my kids three times this season (my favorite outing was followed by pizza at The Oven). It just feels like the holidays to be out there skating. Crazy kids or not – it is fun. Millenium Park in Chicago is just as busy…

It’s small, and I recommend a helmet because it sounds (from a very irresponsible reviewer’s previous comment) like there might be some drunk adults skating around trying to avoid your kids. She’s right, it’s not for real skaters; it’s mostly for kids.
If you want something bigger for faster/better skaters, older kids and adults, go to the lake in Evergreen (not far away; 720.880.1391)
But this Rink is in a lovely location, there’s a coffeeshop within walking distance, restaurants all around, and on a pretty day it’s a fun hangout. And my 8-year-old enjoys it.
Just skate carefully (and sober, please)

The price is high, the ice is crappy and as an adult you have to play a game of not running over the children.
With that said: they open up a hot chocolate stand, get that… put some booze in it and skate away!

Really? Nine bucks ($ 3 for skate rental and $ 6 to skate laps around this doggie-bowl sized rink for an hour)??
Shhhh… go to a sporting goods store and buy your own pair for $ 30 (probably less at a used-goods place like Play It Again Sports). That way, you can skate during busy times for free. It’s not like anyone’s watching anyhow. Just try not to catch an edge on the giant divots missing from the rink’s surface. Having the ambulance show up when you bust your face open while skating for free would totally blow your cover.
