Wanna Thai Cuisine

I stopped in here randomly looking for a lunch spot the other day and was very disappointed. The food took a long time to arrive despite me being the only customer and was very not tasty.
The lunch special includes rice, a spring roll, pad thai, and whatever dish you order. I ordered the Garlic Pattaya with Tofu. The tofu came with burned garlic and lukewam veggies. It seems they cooked the tofu and pulled the veggies from a waiting pile without combining them to cook.
The Pad Thai was not bad, but was over-​sweet but I find this to be true for most places in the sound.
Its the roll of the dice for random lunch spots… but this one I wont be trying again.

Small sweet little Thai spot in an unassuming location… The place is relatively immaculate — perhaps a bit of dust near the ceiling, but that is understandable as the nice little thai ladies would need a step ladder to reach over 6 feet. The food is great! Curry is well seasoned and flavorful. Pad Thai is perfectly flavored and well done. Helpings are generous and appreciated. The hostess (owner?) is exceptionally sweet — took a difficult order with ease and a smile. There is some «engrish» on the menu — but it is endearing and is still understanable. the atmosphere is nice and pleasant — they do have a TV playing cable drama tv (USA — Law and Order shows) that does detract a bit but otherwise the place is nice. This is a must for lunches. Take out is also excellent. If you crave Thai for lunch, stop by this place… convienent to get to — right next to I-​5 and HWY 512.

Wanna Thai has got to be one of the best Thai restaurants in the south sound. It truely reminds me of home style cooking. Very authentic. Take it from someone’s who’s Thai. The prices are very affordable. Try the best «crying tiger» you will ever taste. Try also #29 Pad Si-​Eiu or #40 Pad Woon Sen instead of the usual Pad Thai everyone seems to order. And sharing the food in traditional family style is the best way to try something different that your friends order. The restuarant is quaint with a great atmosphere! Love it!
