A V Best Automotive

NEVER EVER TRUST THIS PLACE. My friend almost bought a car from this guy and it turns out that the car is a stolen car from over a year ago. This guy demanded $ up front to hold the car which my friend gave him. Then after stroking my friend for over a month (using a delay tactic as i would call it) saying the car needed this and that or that and this to get it running, my friend looked into the car more to only find out it was stolen. The dude got arrested and admitted he knew the car was stolen and now my friend has to somehow try to figure out how to get his money back. But for this guy to do this to someone is just unimaginable. It just goes to show what type of character he has and to step so low and take someone’s money. Talk about a douche bag. What a low blow. IF YOU DO GO HERE TAKE YOUR CHANCE. THIS PLACE CANNOT BE TRUSTED AND THEY KNOWINGLY WILL DEFRAUD YOU WITH A SMILE ON THIER FACE.

Have to say that without a doubt that Alex, the head mechanic that runs the place, has never tried to fool me once. His pricing is real and consistent. He is great with warrenty for his work. He doesn’t shortcut anything. He is very informative and truthful, unlike many other auto places that will deliberately leave out information about what needs to be done.
Here is my story.
One day I was short on cash but my car needed to be worked on. So, I went around the A.V. looking for diagnosis and price quotes. Found a place after they told me that all it needed was one little cheap part. I thought «Great! Now I can get my car back for a good price» or so I thought. One week after, another part broke. It was right next to the first problem. Lets call it bad luck, okay? Cheap to fix, said okay. Next week, suddenly the check engine light came on… Really?! Same old story but now he was all like «Yeah these parts can be a little unpredictable».
«Hogwash» I say, especially now that he want to charge me a arm and a leg for it. That is when I thought «Lets go back and see what a few other guys say». Went back to a few places, some were very rude. Not wanting to tell me exactly what was wrong and stuff and then came Alex.
I thought «Best? Ha I bet» with some serious sarcasm. Found out a few of my friends went there before too. Sounds good so far, but I am not going to get my hopes up. I think that when someone has to say what they are instead of just proving it with actions usually means they are overconfident and don’t have the real experience to back it up. Like the guys that have to let people know that their «rooster» is the biggest, are just trying to cover for what they are lacking. But nonetheless, I went to go see Alex about the problem.
He immediately pointed out a list of problems that were wrong. I was about to turn him away, but then the price he gave was significantly cheaper. I asked if he was going to cut corners and stuff. He responded with «No, unless you want me to». Then I questioned why was he charging me so much less. He then went on and described the problem to me in a informative fashion and even answered my questions with easy without having to leave out critical bits.
All and all, I have not had to see him for the same or similar problems since back in 2011. And that’s a good thing you know what I mean?
Hopefully people understand that his shop is not that big but the quality of work done there is great. Sadly, there are times he is swamped with work because he gets a lot of business, making it hard for him to attend to everyone at once. He is human after all.
I think though that the wait is worth it for such quality of service to my car since I personally want to drive it more then have it in a shop. Plus I like to save money and not buy needless parts if I can avoid it. He looks out for that kind of stuff as well.
Great guy too. Very easy to talk to.
Oh! Depending how far you are from his shop he can, in some cases, get your car with a tow truck if it can’t move on its own.
But hey whatever man. You try him out and let me know here on this page what you think. I am positive that he lives up to the «Best» in AV’s Best Automotive then anyone else. I am going to keep going to he too, and that’s a fact!

Great honest service.
I was told I Needed over 1,200 of work to repair my car but it didn’t seem right so I decided for a second opinion. Automotive fixed my car, after other mechanics has said that my transmission was out and that it was going to very expensive to fix my car, when really it was only a small thing called belt to replace. Av best is super and honest care about cars.
I’m really glad to have a good mechanic I can trust.

Doesn’t answer or return calls… has had my car for over a month. Still has it. Save your time and money and go elsewhere where the establishment is timely and professional. *Negative stars.
