Dale’s Alignment & Brake Shop

All I needed done was a couple of bushings pressed in — $ 35 for each, AND they said it would be an hour long job… the place was empty! It seemed dishonest enough, then they go asking for cash. Really sketch. Beware, if you bring your own parts they charge 30% more for labor. The waiting room feels like they’re running a bad swamp cooler — it was uncomfortably humid. I wouldn’t have come here if Pepboys’ press was working. I also wouldn’t have had to pay so much. Last time they ever see me, for sure. Side note: they didn’t have a press either, it was just some dude banging away at the bushings. Wonderful, really.

Finally, a place that will *properly* align my lifted ’05 F150 4×4 with independent front suspension. I was so tired of tearing up tires from tire and alignment shops that believed the computer stating the truck was aligned when the truck was clearly out of alignment by the wear and short life on *new* tires.
Dale’s took the time to align my truck to how the truck needed the alignment set, not just what a computer was saying, and it works fabulously now. I’ve gotten great mileage from this last set of oversize tires (20,000 and still going), and they charged me a fair price for the work. I’m very pleased with Dale’s and will bring my vehicles here in the future. Give them a call!

CONSUMERS BEWARE! I went to Dale’s Alignment and Brake Shop in Lancaster, CA to get a wheel alignment done. I got a call from them saying that they can’t do the alignment because supposedly my joints are shot. He said that it will be over $ 975 to repair it. I told him that I cannot afford it at this time. They charged me $ 40 for visual inspection that did not last more than 5 min. There was nothing else done to the car.
I took the car to another shop for a second opinion and they said my joints are ok still and an alignment can be done. They also said that the visual inspection is a courtesy service for most shops and that the $ 40 charge was excessive.
I will never go back to Dale’s Alignment and Brake Shop nor will I recommend them to anyone I know. So BUYER BEWARE.
