Rented a limo for 6 of us for a charity event in Santa Barbara. Smooth, professional set-​up from the get-​go! Jim our driver was personable, accomodating and very much the gentleman. The girls loved it! The limo was shiny new and a very well appointed stretch.

I recently rented desert star limo services to celebrate a special 30^th birthday. This company is by far they greatest, most punctual company in the valley. Very memorable, they make you feel like a million dollars from the customer service to our incredible driver EZ. Thank you and I will be coming back!

We rented a stretch limo on January 10^th to take us to a sushi bar in North Hollywood from palmdale. Everything was fine until we got back to palmdale at the end of the night. One of the girls had thrown up in the limo. Which carried a $ 200 fee. Okay not a big deal I handed my credit card to the driver. At that point the driver decided it was okay to demand an $ 85 tip because he felt the $ 40 one of the girls had given him was embarrassing and not enough… EXCUSE ME?! Tipping is optional. And when you decide to demand a tip you no longer deserve any tip. I tried reasoning with the driver because he was visibly upset. Which is so unprofessional and disrespectful seeing that we were a group of all females. I guarantee he wouldn’t have been so rude and demanding if there would have been any males present. I asked him to send me a copy of the contract, where tipping $ 85 was supposedly agreed on by both parties, before running my card for anything more than the $ 200. I told him if we indeed owed him money per the contract he would be taken care of. A week after the event my credit card was charged $ 300 without an email, call, or copy of the contract. I’ve called and emailed the company and I am still waiting for a response. I will never use or recommend their services to anyone. I strongly recommend people don’t use this company because it encourages male drivers to intimate female customers for tips.

We used Desert Star for roundtrip service to the San Pedro World Cruise Terminal. Four adults, one toddler, lots of luggage for a 14 day cruise, stroller included. Driver Dave was punctual on both legs, December 17 and Dec 31, 2011. Stretch limo was the perfect size and well provisioned and sparkling clean. Definitely will use this service again. l

So we decided to surprise our team for our yearly Christmas party by having a stretch Hummer pick them up and whisk them away to Medieval Times. We picked Desert Star after doing a lot of looking around. Their price was one of the best we got and my husband actually went down and looked at the vehicle before committing which they were more than happy to let him do. This was just the beginning of how accommodating they were willing to be.
First off, the limo was in great shape. Not a scratch inside or out, clean, everything worked from the CD player to the lights to the TV and the bar was stocked with vodka, rum, sodas and water. We were permitted to bring appetizers on board and on top of that we asked if we could have a custom door magnet printed up so people would know there was a Christmas party taking place inside which they allowed, no questions asked. They said there was a maximum of 17 people but we had a whole back row that was empty. The thing is HUGE.
Mike, our driver was awesome! Lets be honest. Your limo driver is not just your «driver». He’s your host. He had to find a bathroom for us midway to the venue and he totally worked it out. He made a Starbucks stop too. Then, this poor guy ended up baby sitting one of our party who had a little too much to drink while everybody else went to dinner. He was like «It’s cool. I’ve been doing this 11 years. I’ve seen everything. Go have fun!» He had a commitment to make sure that our team had fun and our event went well for us.
The limo was probably the best part of the whole night. We were in the car for over two hours each way and you don’t even notice you’re driving. Really, the party started as soon as we stepped inside. Worth every penny. Gave Mike a 25% tip.
