When a loved one passes away, you will be thrown into planning the handling of their remains right away. It adds an extra shock when you are sitting in the hospital holding the hand of your recently passed family member, to be told by the hospital staff that you need to call a funeral home right away so they can release the remains. I remember dealing with Halley-Olsen for other unrelated business so they were the ones I called in the middle of the night from the list the hospital provided. Halley-Olsen handled my father-in-law’s passing with grace and kindness. I am very appreciative to Margaret Neal for her assistance in a delicate situation we encountered with other family members. Elaine is also very kind and helpful. They have been in the business for a long time and they have the experience we needed to handle a long back and forth. I highly recommend Halley-Olsen and would use them again. Naturally, I hope I won’t need to contact them for a long time, but I know they will be there for us if I do.

Wonderful experience with the funeral director Margaret Neal. Lost both grandparents in under three months time and Margaret insisted on being our director for both services. She was even available to us on weekends. She took the time to walk us through all of the details to make sure we didn’t miss any family needs. Because we are from out of town it was hard to make arraignments with other services so Margaret got us in touch with all the right people for example, tables and chairs, the local american legion, and limo services. She was willing to make many last minute accommodations for the family. Though it was a tough time for everyone Margaret made it a wonderful experience.
