The thing that I love about this place is that both I as a vegan and my non vegan friends can meet here and have a great brunch. They are very accommodating to vegans. If I had to change one thing it would be the seating. Lots of wasted space when they have a line out the door and are seating groups of 2 at tables for 4.

I am not a pancake fan, but I loved the pancakes at this place. It was a bit crowded and we had to wait for like 10 minutes, and this is despite the fact that they have plenty of tables on the main floor and the basement. We also had Dad’s Breakfast which was not bad, but nothing to die for — You’ll get something like that in any diner. Coffee? not so bad. Tea? Bigelow teabag in hot water.

Home of the carbaholic fiesta, the food here is down home good, locally sourced and worth that extra half hour on the treadmill. The line for a table was crazy long and also worth the wait. Good thing I don’t live close by or I’d be a fat and happy regular.

Great breakfast place with the most amazing bread ! They are always busy and for a good reason. It is a tiny and quaint place. The servers are quick and friendly. No matter how busy they get, they greet you as soon as you enter. The portion sizes are ample and the food is outstanding. Love this place !

Service was friendly and fast. The food was just ok. I got an omelette that was fine but it was under seasoned for my taste. The toast again was just fine. My order of side potatoes was a bit cold and again just not very exciting or seasoned in any way that I haven’t had before. To be honest I’d say the food is about as good as Bob Evans. I’m surprised at the exceptionally high ratings, I thought perhaps the bread and hot chocolate would be home made but they didn’t taste it. I wasn’t disappointed though! The décor is lovely and again the service was great.

One of the few places in Lancaster that serve a really good breakfast. It’s fairly small, so go early. You can’t go wrong with either the eggs or the pancakes. The servers are very nice, along with the hostess.

We arrived a little after 11am and only had a 20 minute wait for brunch. We lucked out and were seated downstairs which was very cozy, warm, and super cute. My mother had her heart set on the baked oatmeal, but they were out! Bummer! I suggest that if you plan on going that you call in advance and ask them to set you one aside. For a group of 4, we opted for the grilled cheese, swedish pancake, and the«On Orange» special. The pancaked tasted just like the baked oatmeal, but less calories(I hope) and it was extremely good! The grilled cheese was phenomenal, but very rich, so pace yourself. The«On Orange» was very good as well and their thick sliced 7 grain bread was amazing! A definite must and worth the wait!

I knew they had to be good based on the fact that THERESALWAYS A WAIT. Granted, it’s not a huge place but what I discovered yesterday that I never knew was that there are multiple floors. And there’s STILL always a wait. For good reason. It’s one of the best breakfasts I have had in town. The boyfriend and I finally ate here yesterday… but we almost didn’t. You see, sometime after I turned 30 I realized how valuable time is and how little we have of it. I made a rule that we don’t wait anywhere for more than 15 minutes depending on level of hangriness(more hungry/angry = less wait time). Of course, there are exceptions but usually not. Even with the relatively short wait compared to usual(15 minutes vs. 45), we were within minutes from walking when our table became available. I never thought the day would come when we’d finally eat here. I was amazed. We were brought down to the basement level which at first smelled of musty old basement smells but that was soon forgotten as soon as good, strong, coffee was brought to our adorable table. Service was pleasantly friendly and efficient. For brunch we ordered the chilaquiles which were excellent, the Indian omelet that the boyfriend loved but was much too spicy for me, and two fantastic and memorable Swedish pancakes. I also loved the perfect homefries and roasted tomatoes that accompanied the omelet. To end brunch on an even sweeter note two delicious mini chocolate chip cookies arrived with our check. They were made by Wendy Jo’s Homemade who is our absolute favorite cookie baker at Central Market!

Perfectly prepared, fresh, and delicious. The omelet was light and fluffy and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff was courteous and attentive. Parking was easy and we only waited about 20 minutes on a Saturday morning around 930.

Was staying at a local hotel for Halloween/Dutch wonderland and decided to check online for the best breakfast rated in the area. We were very happy customers. Walked right in no wait on Sunday morning at about 8:30am, was greeted by positive staff and everyone we interacted with. The food options weren’t SUPER huge but thats ok, who really wants a 5 page menu? The food was awesome just as the rest of the reviews noted. My wife ordered some Sweedish pancakes and bacon sausage and she said it was the best she’d ever had & i tried the Chipped Beef w/potatoes, they had some Nice pulled pork specials but we didn’t try them. We were also traveling with our 18 month old daughter that the staff joked, only odd thing was the highchair strap was broken so we just had to watch her a little closer. They brought her out applesauce and milk right away which if you’re a parent is great when you ask for something for the baby and feels like 5hrs when they have nothing to do lol I would definitely pass back in to try more options the next time we head out. The«mug on the wall» for regulars was a nice idea, we saw ¾ people walk in with mugs hanging and probably keeps them all coming back(along with the food/service) I mean, who doesn’t want to be a «regular» where everyone knows you’re name! Very happy eaters!

Delicious, cozy and eclectic with a great menu. Small breakfast spot in the heart of downtown Lancaster. Get there early, or be prepared to wait,(totally worth the wait)! I had Dad’s Breakfast which was scrambled eggs with the most delicious cheddar cheese and ham. Fantastic seasoning! The whole grain toast was magnificent, as well as the potatoes and roasted tomatoes. Husband had a Florentine Omelet minus the spinach. Much enjoyed! Service was mostly friendly and efficient.

What an adorable little spot for breakfast! Headed here after a night out(a little late I may add) around 10⁄1030. Wasn’t surprised to see people waiting on the sidewalk for their name called. We went in and put our name in. The wait was only about 20 minutes and I believe it only took 15. I had no idea how adorable the inside was until our name was called. Each room is kind of a different vibe. Cheery in the front, downstairs much cozier(would be better in the winter I think), and then they brought us out to the patio. We really hit the jackpot! The outside patio is SO cute, it was the perfect spot. The menu is small but unique. They have some all-day features(I think they’re just open breakfast/lunch). You can do simple breakfasts or they have a few heartier things. I chose the special omelet of the day which was«Mediterranean» — 3 eggs, Kalamata olives, sundried tomatoes, and goat cheese. Simply delicious! We got a side of bacon which was crispy and delicious. Service was wonderful, food came out quick, and when you get your check your get homemade chocolate chip cookies! What’s not to love! Definitely could tell this was a very popular Lancaster breakfast destination and I can see why!

Seating two at tables of four? There was a large number of people waiting — why not have people share? We’re all friends here. I had to deduct a star for that alone. Great feel, nice atmosphere in a «trendy/hip setting». The food was good, not great. They were very vegan friendly and accommodating when we stated so. Customer service was good once we were seated. I don’t see all the rage of this place, but it was nice. I’d return again if it wasn’t so packed.

The locals tell me On Orange is the best breakfast place in the city. After living there a short time, I have to agree. This home-converted-to-restaurant, offers cozy seating. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. Judging by the line, I thought we would be waiting for an hour. But apparently there may be additional seating downstairs. The food was delicious, service was prompt. The atmosphere is cozy but not too scrunched. If you’re in the city or visiting market, definitely stop by for breakfast.

Overall I liked the place and would definitely go back. Pro: food was great! I had the Indian omelette, which was a large portion but good with a kick of spice. My husband had the pancakes, which was absolutely fabulous! The apples were amazing– wish it was drizzled all over the pancakes instead of being served in a small cup. Con: the portion of the dishes were large but the drinks were served in a small cup, the apples for my husband’s pancakes was also served in a small cup. The place it’s self is very small and we had a bit of a wait time. I would go back because the food overall was great!

At the suggestion of a friend, I was told to check this place out for breakfast. The wait for two wasn’t terribly long(10 mins) on a Sunday for brunch. They don’t have a liquor license so no mimosas for me; bummer. The menu doesn’t boost a large selection, but there are thoughtful details and some real healthy choices. Fortunately, we were sat by an open window, but I might imagine the place getting uncomfortably warm in the dead of summer.

I totally love this little place! well, it is probably not that little had i visited the basement. the staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is calming, and the food is exceptional. my friend and i both ordered the western omelet + ham with the sides of potatoes and roasted tomatoes. everything came out perfect! i only wished they have more options on beverages(more tea/coffee options since it it is a breakfast place after all) but heck, the food and atmosphere outweighs everything.

Best breakfast joint in Lancaster, hands down. I stopped here on my way home from a recent trip, and after a long night of bar-hopping, I was craving a solid diner breakfast. Best part about this place? You can have your diner breakfast, at a diner price. But the food is far from diner quality. Coffee? Amazing. I had 3 cups. And the servers were not skimpy with their refills. Omelet? Perfection. I ordered the Peasant Omelet, stuffed with cheddar, potatoes, roasted tomatoes. It really hit the spot. The 9-grain toast was think-cut and fresh. Loaded with apple butter and peanut butter? Yes please. Pancakes? Not just any pancakes, these were made with oats and had a distinct texture and taste. I am officially a HUGE fan. The stewed apples they came with added a nice sweetness. I ate the leftovers cold for dinner that night and was just as in love with them. Cream Chipped Beef? Umm, how can that be bad when you are hung-over? This wasn’t the reason I loved this dish so much though. It was smoky and thick and everything you could want for breakfast. And, it was served over breakfast potatoes. Doesn’t get any better than that. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was eclectic and fun. I am excited to make this a breakfast staple in my travels to Lancaster!
