Although their service people are always professional and courteous I have been extremely disappointed in the Goodman heat pump they installed. Over the past 9 years, we’ve paid quite a lot for service contracts and repairs that were above and beyond what the contracts covered. We’ve paid over $ 1600 in the past two years alone for the same problem with the cooling system and have had several service issues with the heating unit as well. Considering we had a Carrier unit that lasted almost 20 years with only a few minor repairs, I am frustrated after this last repair where I shelled out $ 800 for the same issue that happened 24 months ago. Very disappointed with the reliability and quality of this unit.

Thank you for hiring such a great employee in Steve Alwine. He serviced our furnace and returned the next day after we decided to purchase a humidifier. By the way, I have less migraines since it was installed! He also serviced the furnace for my inlaws. He found a problem the gas company should have found! We reported it, and they sent someone out and thought they fixed it, but Steve found they replaced the wrong part. He was so concerned about it, he called on his day off to see if it was fixed. He went above board to be sure everything was right and we were pleased. He takes his job very seriously. Thank you!

I purchased this service from Angie’s List. Due to the great deal they offered, I was a little concerned that they would try to nickel and dime me with lots of «fixes». I am now a fan of One Hour Heating & A/​C. They called me the night before to confirm the time. They called again, before Jim left the previous client. When Jim arrived he was friendly and professional. He wore shoe coverings to keep the floor clean. It was raining so every time he went out, he took them off, then every time he came in he put them back on. Jim reviewed what he found at the end of the service, everything was fine and no additional problems were «found». I will recommend them to others.

So I have mixed feelings and I’ll let you judge. I had them come out to replace my heater and they came out quickly and installed and removed the old heater within 2 days. The day after they installed the new heater, my tenants complained of an oil smell in the house. I had to put them up in a hotel and notified One Hour. They came back out and realized that there was a leak. It leaked oil into the blower and was circulating an oil smell around the house. They came out quickly to help remedy the situation and I dealt with the insurance company to reimburse me for the cost of things post installation. The problem I have is that they were unwilling to offer me anything for the inconvenience of the situation. Insurance did not cover this and I would have thought they would have tried to make me feel better about their company given the situation. I wasn’t looking to dig into their pockets, just a slight kickback for having to go through everything.
I would recommend them if you were in a pinch, but don’t expect them to value you if something goes wrong.
RESPONSE TO THE COMPANY REPLY
I gave your company credit for the job they did in responding to the situation. What I am not satisfied with is that you did nothing in order to compensate me for the pain in the butt it was having to run around and deal with the situation. I would expect a company to compensate a customer for the time and energy it took in order to help right a situation that shouldn’t have to be dealt with in the first place. Next time I deal with a company, I will make sure that I use one that values a customers time and patience.
NEW PROBLEMS
It has just come to my attention that the insurance company for one hour has now stopped returning calls to my tenants. They have $ 4000 dollars of hospital bills and lost wages from having to go to the hospital for the toxic fumes. We also have a new leak that has developed.

My AC stopped working and Ryan V. was the man to check everything out. This was a situation where there were so many options ie: replace everything (heat and air system), replace air system, fix the air system to just have it fixed temporarily or a combination of those listed. He thoughtfully explained all my options in plain english and gave me his honest opinions on the whole thing. He even called a salesman and waited for a return call to see if they could come out that same day! He was so professional, courteous, clean, and knowledgeable about everything and didn’t hesitate to hold a non-​work related conversation while waiting for the salesman to return the call. This helped me easier swallow the price the new a/​c system would eventually cost. Excellent employee and everything everyone could want in a technician. Thank you Ryan for dealing with my incessant questions while you were here! I would recommend this guy to everyone! Top-​Notch all-​around!

Thank you Rohrer’s One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning, Lancaster PA for prompt and efficient service. Neffsville P&H were a no show for a 12 – 4 appointment at my house so I called you guys. My first appointment was for 0800 on Tuesday and your technician Brad showed up at 800 sharp and easily identified the issue but the part I needed for my Rheem gas furnace was not in stock locally. He ordered the part. A subsequent appointment was made for today between 10 – 12 and your technician Tim showed up exactly at 10am and had the part installed by 1015am.
I work a lot of hours and am very active with many community groups. While I enjoy a bargain, to me promptness and keeping appointments is my primary «hot button». Your company is excellent when it comes to being on time. I’ll share this experience on Unilocal as well hoping it gives you some good reviews.

our old oil boiler finally died on halloween night. the home warranty company sent a repair company (not rohrer’s) who found the problem but could not find a replacement part because of the age of the furnace. we decided to go ahead and get estimates for replacing the oil boiler with a gas boiler. the experience with rohrer’s was start to finish great. they were able to arrange for an estimate to be done quickly and preston from sales was thorough and nice. the rohrer’s quote actually came in a bit higher than the other quotes that we had done, but rohrer’s was the only company that could also install the chimney liner at the same time as the boiler which more than accounted for the price difference between them and the other guys. they were also the only company to hand deliver the quote and return to our house to answer questions before we accepted the quote.
they arrived exactly on time for the install and brought out a brigade of workers. all of them were courteous and respectful of my house and my time.
we really liked that they offer 12 month 0% financing and the one hour gaurantee is a real time saver (instead of saying they’ll get there between 8 – 12 for an appointment like the other guys they will give you an exact time and if they’re more than an hour late you don’t have to pay). preston, the sales guy was very nice, as were the installers seth, ryan, and another gentlemen. we really appreciated that they were able to complete the job with two days of our accepting the estimate. other companies were backed up for 1 – 2 weeks and that’s a long time when you don’t have heat!
i would highly recommend rohrer’s to anyone looking for hvac service or replacement.

Technician was courteous and thorough. He explained how my system works and what to do in case of issues. He even labeled key wires and switches on my old furnace boiler so that I would know what to do in an emergency. He queried appropriately and answered my questions plainly. I appreciate the wonderful service from Rohrer’s. After my home warranty company acted like they couldn’t find the issue with my A/​C, I called Rohrer’s and they came out the next day and diagnosed the probiem within 10 seconds. Mark was very thorough. I called back on my way back from vacation and Mark came back out and had my system running GREAT! The service is great and so was the appointment scheduling. No waiting a week, they came the very next morning and on time! Will continue to use Rohrer’s.
