History

Established in 2014.

The Speckled Sheep LLC in Lancaster Pa was established in May 2014 by 3 young ladies inspired by the fiber arts. As a business we hope to help teach the community more about the fiber arts and help revive the traditions of old by bringing new life to crafts like knitting, spinning, weaving, crocheting, rug hooking and more.

Since May of 2014 we have expanded our selection of products to include not only commercially sourced products but also many local artisans. We now carry over 20 small businesses’, indie dyers’, artists’, farms’ and crafters’ products and that number grows each month.

Since opening we have also found that our customers wanted more convenient business hours so we modified them! While not customary for our industry we are open in the mornings at 9 and even have evening hours on Tuesdays now.

Business Owner

3 lovely ladies own this LYS and work it together to help serve the knitting and fiber loving community.

Everyone who works at the shop makes it their goal to help customers make the most of their projects. No question is too small and no problem is too big. if we don’t know the answer right away we will work until we find it, even if that means knitting up our own sample.
