History

Established in 1970.

Formerly Gabby’s Package Store, the Conuel Family purchased the Package Store in 1970 and renamed it Pontoosuc Package Store. Shortly thereafter, Pontoosuc Package Store expanded its license to include liquor.

For over 45 years the Conuel Family and Pontoosuc Package Store has served the needs of Lanesborough and the surrounding community along the Route 7 corridor.

Bruce C.

Business Owner

Bruce is a native of Berkshire County. He married his wife, Gliceria in 1970. They purchased the package store together and renamed it Pontoosuc Package Store.

Bruce and Gliceria reside in Pittsfield where they have raised 3 sons, Michael, Stephen, and Jason, and now spend their spare time with their five grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jacob, Julia, John, and Dylan.

Pontoosuc Package Store is a mom and pop shop that has been family owned for over 45 years.

Stop in for a visit and say hello to Bruce, Glice, or one of their three sons. Bruce prides himself on his knowledge of the Berkshires, if you catch him, be sure to ask him a question.
