Pump It Up

Went on Memorial day for my friends daughters bday. I went in not expecting too much as these parties tend to always be the same… AND this is why you should not assume. I was highly impressed. The establishment was very clean, the staff was friendly (I usually find PG county less friendly but in this case the hiring manger did a great job). The moon bounces were so much fun I think I had more fun then the kids. the party captains did a great job and I loved the picture taking. My only «problem» with these type parties and I never feel the kids get to jump long enough but that is nothing against this location its all these jumping places that are like that.
We liked it enough that I looked to see what Pump it Ups are near us and we will be visiting. Hopefully the Silver Spring location is as impressive as the Lanham one was!

I just hosted a birthday party here for my daughter, who just turned 2. I must say that I was very impressed with the staff’s professionalism and energy. My daughter’s birthday was in the early afternoon and the atmosphere was very clean and fun. The party package that you book is only for 2 hours but it’s worth it because it’s great fun for the kids. Within the 2 hour time frame, your party gets to take advantage of the 2 fun rooms which are timed for 35 min each. You then go into the party room where you can enjoy the rest of your event by singing Happy Birthday and enjoying pizza, and your own bakery bought cake and ice cream
My guests and especially my daughter had a blast. This is a great location and great fun.

I am only writing about the open jump on weekday mornings, not a birthday party. I discovered the Pump It Up Pre-​K Open Jump over this long, long winter — there has not been very much outdoor playtime for my two-​year-​old daughter. She was climbing up the walls and driving both of us nuts! Pump It Up was a godsend.
For the open jump, they opened up one room for two hours of playtime. (Both would have been better, but I can’t complain too much.) My daughter had a blast, especially on the «big big slide.» She had some trouble with the obstacle course, but that was designed for somewhat older kids. For $ 5.55 with tax, we had some good cheap fun, and I got my normal fun kid back after all the physical activity wore her out! Also, it was not crowded at all — only one other kid there. I’m sure we’ll be back here a couple of times as long as this cruddy winter holds.

The early sessions are much better than later in the evening sessions. Usually, if you come in the evening, it is super ghetto, poor customer service, and they are playing adult club music..

Good, quick, unplanned fun for my oldest. Staff was friendly and the kids are able to just come in and go for it. My daughter lucked up and the other kids were friendly today, could definitely be a concern though. Only real complaint is given that they know parents will be sitting around waiting they should have more comfy chairs. Invest in the new movie theater chairs equipped with outlets where I can chill and we’ll definitely become regulars lol

Just last month my niece had her fifth birthday at your business. I found the facilities to be nice and well taken care of. My group had excellent customer service by a young lady during the pizza/​cake time. She was courteous, diligent and efficient. She was a bright spot for the overall visit.
However, while in the jump rooms, 2 of the staff members lacked basic decorum and professionalism, especially around children. There was a young man, rather tall, that stood at the bubble making machine and decided to box the bubbles that were being made. That type of behavior encourage the children in the party to start throwing punches — something that should be avoided.
In the second jump room a young lady spent approximately half the time looking at herself in the circle mirrors on the door. She even went as far as bend down on both knees to use a larger mirror to groom herself.
Though the facilities are nice, the customer service is truly lacking in some areas.

Nice. Much better than joyful jumps in Bowie. I wonder if they do after hour parties.

I recently held my daughter’s birthday party at Pump it Up. While the playrooms were spectacular and the kids enjoyed themselves, I could not have been more dissatisfied with my experience due to the horrendous customer service of the staff on duty. As an initial matter, the party was supposed to begin promptly at 3 pm. Per Pump It Up’s confirmation letter, I asked my guests to arrive 15 minutes early to view the safety video. The staff did not start the safety video until 3. Then, there was another party in the room that we were supposed to start in. My guests did not get into Party Room A until 3:07. When a party is 90 minutes, every minute counts. However, when I asked the hostess if we would have the full time in the room given the delay, she shrugged her shoulders and said I needed to inquire at the front desk. I went to the front desk, and I asked a young woman at the desk. She acted as if my question was a disturbance to her; and she was incredibly rude and dismissive. She indicated that extra time would be added on, but she was inexplicably angry about my inquiry. Because I was hosting a party, I let it go, and went back to the party room.
The timing issue arose again when the staff unceremoniously started to clean up as my guests were eating at 4:15 or 4:20. I went to the front desk again and the same stone-​faced staff person and other members informed me that I was already provided extra time in the other playrooms. I asked how that was possible if this was a 90 minute party that started 7 minutes late and the staff was already attempting to rush my guests out before 4:30. They then said I would have until 4:35 in the party room. However, with the clean up and disruption in the room, I did not receive that extra time. Given that I spent $ 600 for a 90 minute party, I am shocked that the staff demonstrated zero understanding that every minute should have been provided. Their sole focus was to get my party finished by 4:30 so that the next party could start. This is completely unacceptable and not how paying customers should be treated.
In addition, I paid for the superhero training camp. After about 25 minutes into the party, I asked my hostess when the superhero training would take place. Her response was, «Oh, this is a superhero party?» My hostess was completely unaware of the extra amenities that were paid for. In the second party room, the staff put on masks. But instead of the superhero training activities that were advertised in the video on the website, the staff did a half-​hearted relay race. There was no excitement, no enthusiasm, and the staff did not engage the kids in the least or do anything to make the birthday girl feel special. Moreover, my daughter never even received her superhero cape. The superhero training was a complete waste of time and money because of the lackluster execution by Pump it Up’s staff. Moreover, the staff forgot to distribute ice cream cups that I paid for to the partygoers, but in the commotion, I wasn’t able to address it.
As a mother of a young child, I have attended plenty of birthday parties. The staff at My Gym and other locations are good with kids, enthusiastic, and engaging. They make the birthday party special and make the birthday child feel special. They do not just stand around like lumps on a log. The staff at Pump it Up was simply awful. Their sole purpose was to move each party from room to room. They did not care about the experience of the partygoers; they did not care about the kids; and they certainly did not care about customer service. I am baffled that Pump it Up, a location that hosts kids’ birthday parties, would have such unfriendly staff. I spent a considerable amount of money on
my daughter’s birthday party, but I was treated like a nuisance and my legitimate questions and concerns were dismissed. When I sent a complaint letter to management, I never received a response. Awful.

I was very disappointed in the music choice. While I don’t mind rap music, they played music that was full of cursing, talking about sex and big booty women. There is a time and a place for that kind of music and it’s not at a children’s bounce house where there are really young kids playing. I’m hesitant to bring my child back there because of that.

My Boyfriend & I Took Our Son Here For His 3^rd Birthday Back in February & Again Over This Past Weekend. The First Time He Cried To Stay! Its Fun For The Kids And The Adults. We Went On Free Pizza Night & For Entry They Charged Just $ 8.00 For The Child & It Was Free For Parents. I Was Impressed. Its 2 Different Rooms & We Spent About An Hour In Each Before Pizza & Juice Was Served. I Recommend This Place For All Parents Who Want To Reward Their Child, Burn Their Kids Energy, And Especially For The Kids Who Have Birthdays In The Winter! Defifnitely Goin Back One Day!

We went here for a birthday party for one of my daughter’s classmates and she loved it! It is a perfect place to have a party for small children! The children loved it! They got to run around and play for hours in the inflatable equipment! There was also a wind machine and other options if the inflatable equipment isn’t’ for your child!
The staff are usually young adults and they are extremely friendly! They tend to be off standish when it comes to dealing with the party goers, but it is still a party that you are responsible for throwing! They are just there to facilitate the outing!
Overall, it is a cool place to have a party for children!

Had my daughter’s 9^th birthday party here. We had about 30 plus kids and parents in attendance. I loved the idea it was private and the play arenas were clean. The staff were on point. All guests and birthday girl had a blast. Right before it was time to eat, the staff ensured each kid sanitized their hands before eating. Cups, plates napkins and cutlery were provided.
If you’re looking to throw a birthday party, this is the place to do it at! Just be prepared to pay $$$ for it. It was worth it!

I went here for a 3 year old’s birthday party. This is an awesome space for a child’s party. The staff stays on task and on schedule. Truly a well oiled machine. So when they say that you’ll have a 2 hour and 15 minute party… they mean it, down to the minute, so don’t show up late. And this is all done without being rude. It’s perfect for parents of young children and it’s all done without messing up your own home + the kids have a blast. Win-​win-​win!
