HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. These guys are the real deal: honest and good at what they do. They have serviced our cars for almost 30 years. You know that awful experience when you leave your car at a dealership for service and you have to fight off their efforts to overcharge you and «repair» things that don’t need repairing? That will NEVER happen here. Good, reliable, dependable, honest service.

I can’t comment of the technical service of this shop, but I found the customer service to be extrememly poor. I called for a quote and made an appointment to go in on the following morning. The guy was actually very patient and quite helpful (I’m not sure which brother). He seemed competent and sounded as if they could be trusted to not swindle you of hundreds of unecessary dollars. That counts for something, right? Perhaps I caught him (whichever brother it was) on one of his better days. I arrived the next morning for my appt. to be told that because I was 15 minutes late I could not be seen. Ok fine. You can make any policy that you choose for your own establishment, but if you’re going to have one that is more rigid than the standard, you at least owe it to paying customers to make them aware of that, sooner rather later. Like when they call to make an appt. When I let him knew this, I was told that I should have called him, instead of expecting him to notify me of their policy. Can’t say that I was happy about making the trek for no reason AND having to deal with his rudeness, so unless there is no other quality auto repair shop in Phila that is can perform my work, I don’t see me returning here.

Went to get my tired plugged at Stephanou’s gas and service station. Save yourself a trip and don’t waste your time going there. The owners Nick and Tom are extremely rude arrogant and plain disrespectful to their customers. They also allow their staff to be the same way. I was extremely disappointed with the service and bad behavior I received from Nick and one of his employees. He allowed this employee to talk horrible to me and about me to another employee while I was there waiting to get my tired plugged. Shame on you Nick I hope you don’t allow this type of disrespectful arrogant behavior you and your employees showed me to happen to your wife and daughter. Nick and Tom get you and your employees acts and rude attitudes together. I’ve been getting my gas there for the past 20 years but I won’t be back. Good luck and farewell guys. Thanks for nothing. I’m giving you a 1 star just for nothing.

This place is reliable, honest, neither slow nor fast, and is economical. It is best to call them during working hours, describe the issue (s), and set an appointment for drop off. They allow you to drop the keys through a mail slot and leave your car if dropping off before they open. They call you if there are issues and when the auto is ready for pick up. They offer great services, at good prices, give decent estimates, and communicate any issues during the process. The only drawback is that Tom is kind of a curmudgeon. He is a very honest and trustworthy person, but is grumpy nine times out of ten. My wife and I have been going to Stephanou’s for about seven years or so. They are awesome.

Great little gas station that offers all sorts of prizes and specials like pumping your gas between 4 and 6. Love this place and one of the few independent stations in the area.

Tom and Nick are good guys. I’ve been going to their place of business for seven years, and they’ve been honest and helpful every time. When my air conditioner went out in my car, they told me that they weren’t sure that could fix it 100% and that I might end up draining a ton of money with it, especially since my car was pretty old. A lot of places out there might have made some empty promises and tried to take me to the cleaners. If you don’t know a lot about cars and just want to find decent, hard-​working people who level with you and get the job done, look no further. Definitely worth your time and money. I try and get gas here just to support these guys and their business which has been in the neighborhood for a long time.

I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Came here and asked them to take a look. They found the cause (small nail — it happens) and suggested that they fix with interior patch. They could have sold me a new tire — I even asked if that would be better — and service man said that it’s better to patch since the tire has at least one more year of life in it. Quality work done in under 15 minutes for a fraction of the price of a new tire. Everyone was incredibly friendly. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I’ve been going to stephanou’s for a couple of years now and am very very satisfied with their service. They do good work at good prices, and they’re a long-​standing family-​owned business. The guy who runs the place, Tom, doesn’t smile or bother with pleasantries but he is a good honest businessman and treats his customers well. Recently they did a diagnostic on my car and Tom told me he thought it would be under warranty if I had the work done at the dealer. This will probably save me $ 500 dollars. I’ll be a loyal customer here as long as Tom as in charge, and if the next person is as good as he is, even longer.
It’s about a mile to the regional rail station; I don’t live in lansdowne so it’s a bit of a walk when I have to drop off or pick up my car.
