This hotel does not even deserve 1 star! By far the most bizarre and worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. Once we walked into the hallway to our room the hallway smelled of seafood and other sorts of cooking. When we got into our room the bag of bedding for pull out couch did not have a zipper. We called and asked for another set and the front desk manager said he would come check it out, we just wanted another set so we could go to bed. 10 minutes later he called and informed us he was going to go to the bathroom and then be down… WTF?! We said never mind we will figure it out. The next night we were using the pool and 1 «guest» came in with 13 children!!! Quickly the pool was overtaken and no longer safe. We utilized the common area to eat pizza and was told at one point we could put on a movie for the kids so they could sit on the couch. Well at 7:30 we were told it’s too late to turn on the tv… Mind you there is nothing posted that we can’t and the pool is open until 10 for kids and midnight for adults! The front desk manager also informed us that we would have to leave in 30 minutes because there are business people there… again wtf?! The front desk and common area is no where near the rooms. Both nights the front desk person had«friends» or «guests» sitting there for hours talking! Talking loudly and talking about other guests… completely inappropriate! We were also informed that there were actual residents of the hotel… last I thought this was a hotel not an apartment complex. People had dogs that they walked through the hotel as well. Loud noises at night and just honestly the most disgusting, bizarre hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The sink in our kitchen smelled like stinky feet and our room was never cleaned the entire weekend! The last morning we went down to eat and thankfully saw the closet sized kitchen they«cook» in and turned right around… cannot be up to code. Honestly save your money and your sanity and steer clear of this place at all costs!!!

This is the worst Marriott I have stayed in. The rooms smell musty. They did not clean our room. We had dogs barking in rooms next to us. The desk staff at night was more concerned about talking politics with friends who came to visit him on shift vs taking care of guests. He also let a group of high schoolers in to swim… who were not guests at the hotel. And he was frankly rude. In addition the rooms are outdated and just feel dirty. This hotel is not Marriott quality.

The staff was very nice and apologetic. «That being said…» this was not the best Marriott. The whole building seemed musty. The Residence Inn is located next to the Quality Inn, La Quinta, Days Inn, Fairfield Inn and every chain restaurant known to mankind. If you’ve passed Buffalo Wild Wings, then you’ve gone too far. I hope your intestines are ready for Michigan! The halls were dingy dating back to generation X. The halls smelled like cooked garbage smothered in plastic velveeta cheese and a hint of curry. The original musty carpet appears to never have been replaced. This place needs some attention. I’m thinking the Days Inn across the street would have been a better bet for a fraction of the price. Forget about having a frying pan in your room! You’re lucky if you get a hot plate! The maid was lazy. She left a Spanglish note that said«I did not make bed. There was cloth in it.» I guess she meant clothes? The complimentary breakfast was inedible… Even for the less picky eaters. Guy Fieri wouldn’t touch this. I would eat Hardee’s mashed with Arby’s. Everything had a greyish tint to it. The breakfast football potato skins were grey, bland and luke warm. The oatmeal was watery, stringy, gruel! The chemical processed microwaved eggs were nothing to write home about. I went out and paid for a breakfast at the job site. Lastly, instead of cucumber infused water, we had mice infused water… The only redeeming quality is the pool/hot tub that nobody used. But judging by the rest of the hotel it might not be the cleanest. I’m giving this 2 stars because of the pool and hot tub.

Thankfully we were able to use our status with Marriott to get an upgrade to a two bedroom suite. Rooms very nicely decorated and comfortable. Walls super thin, floors extremely creaky and windows not very noise-dampening. A/C was cranked up in the pool area, so that everyone froze as soon as they got out of the pool, preventing us from taking our children back down there. Front desk staff, for the most part, friendly and helpful. Maintenance staff not so much. Had an issue with a door latching and he all but told me I was lying, even though when he followed me up to my room, my door very clearly was not latched shut, nor would it until he slammed the door. Asked for clean sheets and was told I would have to replace them myself, but they would bring them up to the room. Arrived to breakfast 30 minutes before it was over, breakfast area full and over half of the hot food was gone and not being replenished. Traveling with our young children, I appreciate the residential style hotels and we will be utilizing them more frequently, however this one left quite a bit to be desired.

Hotel’s been updated and it’s very well done.(Well, some rooms may still be undergoing work, because I saw some paint-splattered workers down the hall, but our room was recently complete.) We were quite pleased. Recommended. Unfortunately, it’s located in chain restaurant hell — the only down side.

The floors and ceilings in this place have to be no thicker than an inch. I can hear every footstep from my neighbors upstairs. And then, when they run their shower or sink, I hear the water gushing down the pipes. At 5am, I was woken up by pipes banging. I’m a pretty heavy sleeper, and if I’m woken up by pipes banging, that means it’s loud. This place isn’t bad — the furniture is new, it’s clean, the staff has been friendly. But there’s not much they can do about the construction. I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

This is a . Don’t think there’s been an update in years. Room had a smell of «old» and furniture was outdated.

Clean rooms… and a great free breakfast at this Residence Inn! Lots of hot and cold options — much better than your typical ‘free continental ‘breakfast’ at other hotels.

I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions, and never had a problem, until this weekend. The room stunk of curry, also, while I was looking for some paper towel, I found some cookies siting on a shelf in a cupboard, they were old and stale, That just tells me, the room was not cleaned to the standard I expect from Marriott. The next moring, my wife and I went down for breakfast. The breakfast area was packed, there was no were to sit, there was not even enough room to stand and fill your plate, People were walking around in PJ’s, Heelllooooooo, this is a hotel, a public place, you did not spend the night at a friends house. I wonder if there was a redneck convention in town that weekend? Anyway, we will not be going back
