HAPPY BIRTHDAY TACO PALENQUE!
As a kid, I remember going to the grand opening 29 years ago with my dad. And it been a love love relationship ever since. Being from laredo i feel like we grew together both in age and waistline;)
When i joined the army and completed my training, my friends and family came to my graduation i asked… no…i BEGGED them to bring me some piratas all the way to FT.BRAGG.
Every year i wait for the cold weather to get a bowl of your fideo. it’s become as traditional as the jalapeño festival or seeing a skinned venado hanging from my carport during the off season.
In my teenage years some of the best fist fights i ever had were in your parking lot in the wee hours of morning coming back from across. I didn’t mind your security guards slamming me to the floor and kicking me out because it was all in good fun and we knew that the following weekend, it will happen all over again.
Now i’m married, with kids and i see the same cycle of life starting all over. I introduced your bean and cheese tacos before my kids had teeth and to this day thats their favorite taco.
So sapo verde to you and wish you all the best and another 29 years of great food and great memories.
I truly believe that you and I are the best thing to ever come out of Laredo!

First time visiting laredo an this establishment service was average, food was ok I probably want eat here again no pun intended.

This place is good for Laredo standards. If say that Laredo is a foodie’s hell. The frozen margaritas were pretty bad. Very sweet and too much volume without being that strong. Just get beer instead.

I bad mouth Taco Palenque — probably because I have eaten it so much. This is about as good as fast food Mexican gets. Some of the foods are good but I think the beef piratas and chicken quesadillas are great. Way too much great gooey cheese and has to be bad for you but, I love it.

The food here is fantastic! This place has authentic fresh food. Great tacos, and not your stereotypical tacos either. I had the tacos with corn tortillas, sirloin steak, fresh guacamole and fresh cheese. Their sauce bar has multiple types of salsa. The ones a tried were delicious. I wish we had this place back in Alabama. I highly recommend this place.

In South Texas if you want fast and good Mexican food it’s Taco Palenque. The food is always delicious. If you eat in the restaurant all that I have visited are clean and they offer free chips and a variety of salsas.
The only problem many seem to have is that the prices seem a bit much when ordering a taco; however, the tacos are always stuffed!

The food is good, but the cleanliness is appalling. There was food all over the floor, rice all over the booth where you sit and just too crowded with loud, overly FAT, obnoxious kids that weren’t being controlled by the parents. If you are not from Laredo, the minute you step foot in this place, people are staring at you, trying to figure out what planet you came from so they can gossip.

Haven’t done dine in, no time for that. Drive thru isn’t bad, the wait time is the only thing that is meh; very long wait. But at least you get good fresh food:)
The fajitas are good, was surprised that they were since this is a fast food type of place, not really feeling the crunchy tacos with the ground beef so much, they aren’t bad, just not for me I suppose.
Going to try there enchiladas next time. Will order inside also for to go.

The food at Taco Palenque is delicious!

Food always excellent. The only default is the now and then mistakes they make. Like when I ask for panchitos de pollo (chicken) with no guacamole, I either get beef with guacamole, chicken with guacamole or no guacamole but beef. It’s as simple as reading the receipt so at times it frustrating but always worth the risk lol. This older lady at the window, she is a sweetheart and goes beyond to make it a great experience.

Awesome tacos. I had a pirata and a sirloin taco, and they were both delicious. 2 tacos will fill you up.

The number 4 is all I can say… Absolutely amazing anytime of the day! Then I saw someone order the panchitos and wow takes nachos to a while new level!

I am visiting Laredo for work and decided to see what all the fuss was about for this place because I keep hearing about it. The tacos were pretty good! I will definately go back becuase of that. The girl at the window was a little rude because I do not speak Spanish. She literally laughed at me because I asked her «what» when she was speaking to me in Spanish. She then had to have someone else help me with my order. She was very rude about it.

I love, love this place! Always open! Quick and fresh food. I dream about the tacos from here. The chip and salsa bar is one of the best I’ve ever had. Friendly service. Plenty of seating. It’s a just try!

The food is delicious! The fajitas, rice, beans, etc is amazing! As authentic as you can get in Laredo.
The only reason I take away some stars is because the prices have gone up, yet the quantity and quality is still the same, and the service at this location hasn’t been that great since the 90s. On busy nights they have trouble keeping things clean, but there is a nice playground for the kids to enjoy outside.
If you order to go, please check your food. They have made mistakes on my orders in the past.

Pretty good Nachos! Didn’t try the fajitas, they looked delicioso! Fast Service. Would definitely come back and try the fajitas!

Yum! Why can’t they have pirata in LA Mexican restaurants?!

Despite my best best effort to pronounce flautas, I still got it wrong. But it is delicious!

From the moment you walk in the atmosphere is incredible, nice set up.
You get a serving of chips with salsa and some Refried beans to start of them we hit the Mango Margarita with chamoey and it was outstanding, simply delicious. We ordered a Sombrero Sampler that came with flautas, quesadilla, cheese empanadas, and some mini biscuit with beam and chorizo and was outstanding also. Was served by a lady by the name Laura and was simply very helpful and very attending to us. Next time I visit Laredo I will definitely come back for a great time.

This is the only reason to visit Laredo and the rest of the valley.
This place is just amazing. Depending on when you come, grab a breakfast taco, pirata, or a fajita plate. Next stop by the amazing salsa bar, fully stocked with fresh toppings for all your cravings. Lastly, don’t forget to get the chips — you won’t find any better anywhere else.
This place is also ²⁴⁄₇ with internet, meaning its a great place to hang out at night after getting drunk. God I wish they would replace all Taco Bells with these. Only negative is that it’s kinda pricy… but so worth it.
